Condolences

The family of Kenneth “Ken” Haas has received the following condolences.

Deb, Matt and Jacob,

I was out of town and unable to attend Ken's funeral but I was there in spirit. I am holding you all in my prayers. Ken was an exceptional father and member of our community. I always appreciated his steadiness and positive outlook on life. It goes without saying..I am here for you.

We are sorry that we could not attend the funeral service in person. Kenny was a fine man.  He came from a poor background and everything that he achieved in life, he achieved on his own.  He had an inner strength that was not readily apparent, but it was there throughout his life and it sustained him throughout.  I wish I could have gotten to know Kenny better, and it is my fault that I did not.  But now it is too late.  But what memories I have of him are of a good man, who did his best for his family and they can hold their heads of proudly for having had him in their life.  God Bless!

Am reaching out to the family of Ken.  He was such a great co worker.  I pray that you as a family are at peace.   Remember all the good memories....I am also

In my career with Olmsted County I had the privilege to work with Ken.  He was always professional and very competent.  Ken had a great personality and was the consummate "nice guy".  Mary and I are sorry for your loss.

RIP, Ken -- Jim Stengle, YHS Class 1970

To all the Haas family, we are so sorry to hear of Ken's passing! Knowing your family through church, the kid's school and being our customer, Ken was always thought of as a nice guy and a pleasure to yak with in any setting! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and him.

Dearest Deb and family, my sincere sympathy at the loss of Ken.  It was a pleasure to have gotten to know him as we worked together at Olmsted County.   It was fun to have talked "South Dakota" with him (as I'm from the Black Hills originally).  I loved his sense of humor and wit and kindness.  May the support of friends and family and your faith bring you comfort in his loss.

What can I say about Ken.  He was funny, gracious, competent, and a genuinely nice person.   It was a privilege to have known him for 25 years. He will be missed!

I worked with Ken at Olmsted County.  I didn't know him well, but I know he was special from the meetings I had with him.  His sense of humor was phenomenal!  My prayers go out to all of you.

Ken was my supervisor at Olmsted County for over 9 years.  Ken had a great impact on my life not only from his supervision and guidance but also from his friendship.  Ken and I would often start a meeting talking about work and once the work talk was done we would talk about other parts of our lives like family, kids and pets. I will always remember him fondly for the caring person that he was.
