Condolences
The family of Kathryn Louise Kerr has received the following condolences.
We did not learn of Kathryn's passing until yesterday. I wish we could have been there for the service, she was such a grand lady!
We wish to offer our deepest sympathy to the family. Although we only knew Kathryn from church, we grew very fond of her and loved that special twinkle in her eyes. She was always so cheerful and it was obvious that she had a great appreciation for life. Her smile somehow made me feel that she knew a secret and was enjoying it, always. The world is a little sadder place without her, but I will ALWAYS remember her smile, attitude and that twinkle in her eyes. Joyce and I send our condolences especially to Margret and Melissa Ryan. God bless you all. Denny
I am sorry I was out of town yesterday and didn't make it back for the visitation. Today I am working. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Kathryn. She was a delight. Her infectious laughter and sparkling eyes were something I always looked forward to seeing. She had such a zest for life up till the last time I saw her. She talked to me about her sewing projects and was always enthusiastic and cheerful. I particularly enjoyed hearing about her trip to New England most recently. Her anticipation of the trip and her relating about it made it obvious how much it meant to her. She will truly be missed, and my sympathy goes out to the family.
Dear Anne, Susan, Mary Jeane, Margret and Family,
Although I can't be with you in person, I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to you all.
I will be forever grateful to Aunt Kathryn for her generosity, kindness, and loving spirit, and treasure the time that we spent together. I've become a better person for having known her, and all of my Minnesotan extended family.
As Nancy, Anne and I continue forward with our geneology tracing...I can't help but hope that Aunt Kathryn sends us a few hints every now and again. After all, she now has met all of our ancestors!
Know that you remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs to everyone!
Anne and family, so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know how special she was to you. May all your memories, help you through the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Linda
Dear Sue and family,
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. My prayers are with you and your family. I hope your loving memories of your mom, bring you comfort during this very difficult time!
Sue, Mike and family:
I am so very sorry for your loss. A mother's love lives on forever in our hearts, and I am praying for sweet memories to carry you all through this difficult time.
Mary Jeane-I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and your sisters.
Even though we have lost touch, I wanted to extend my sympathies to all of you. Kathryn was a wonderful person to have known.
There is a crabapple tree in front of my parent's house in Reads which blooms so beautifully in the spring. When I asked my dad what type it is, he said that when he and Kathryn planted it Kathryn just called it the "Crabapple Shirley Tree". I will always fondly think of Kathryn each year it blooms.
