Kathleen “Kitty” Harders

Kitty Harders, 91, of Rochester died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Madonna Towers.

Kitty was born on December 21, 1927 in Rock Dell Township to Elmer and Tilla (Thompson) Rime. She grew up in the Stewartville area and graduated from Stewartville High School in 1945. She moved to Rochester after graduation. She married Marvin “Bud” Harders on April 8, 1950 at East St. Olaf Church in Rock Dell, MN. Kitty was a homemaker and enjoyed many church activities and volunteering. She enjoyed conversation and coffee with her neighbor friends and finding good bargains at garage sales.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Tony) Seidl of San Tan Valley, AZ, Richard (Jane) Harders of Stewartville, Jerry (Pam) Harders, and Judy (Chris) Jerabek of Rochester; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and one brother.

The Funeral Service for Kitty will be at 11:00AM on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Benjamin Loos officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Madonna Living Community or Redeemer Lutheran Church of Rochester.

While I never knew Kitty, I have met some of her family. They are the nicest, kindest people. She must have been a wonderful woman and mother. Im so glad she had such a long and full life.
