Kathleen “Kay” Nogosek

Kathleen M. Nogosek, 80, of Rochester, MN died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Cottagewood Senior Communities.

Kay was born March 21, 1941 in Winona, MN to George and Inez McGuire. She graduated from Cotter High School in Winona in 1959. On April 24, 1965, she married Robert Nogosek at St. Mary’s Church in Winona. The couple lived in Winona until 1966 when they moved to Rochester. Kay worked as a school guard crossing and then as a parking control officer for the city of Rochester for 28 years.

She loved to play bingo at the Eagle’s Club and taking trips to Laughlin, NV.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Patrick and Paul (Allison); five grandchildren; and sister, Peg.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Russell Scepaniak officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Kay was always a pleasant and kind person to work with, she always had a kind word and a smile every time I saw her :) Rest easy Kay.  

Bob, so sorry for your loss.  Our sympathy and prayers are with you at this time.  We had a lot of fun together as Officers of the Eagles.   

Kay to touch the soul of another human being is to walk on holy ground. You have touched so many. Love you.

We are very sorry for your loss. Kay was a sweetheart of a lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

   So sorry to lose one of my neighbors in town. Kay always had a warm smile that will be missed.

I used to Work with Kay at the Police Dept when she was working Parking Control and she talked about her 2 sons and loved her Family and I loved her laugh she helped train me in and was a very nice person to me ( Rookie ).  I am sorry for your loss and she will be missed.

So sorry for loss, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I loved Kay's sense of humor! She always made me laugh when we bowled together. A great lady who will be dearly missed. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
