Kathleen A. “Kaye” Hanson

Kathleen Ann Hanson “Kaye”, passed away at the Seasons Hospice house, surrounded by her family at the age of 84.

Kaye was born October 11, 1940 to Hilding and Margaret Quale in Austin, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from LeRoy Ostrander High School. On April 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to Dennis K Hanson at St. Patrick’s in LeRoy, Minnesota. Kaye worked for the LeRoy Ostrander schools, IBM, Macy’s and retired from The Mayo Clinic after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Kaye volunteered time to St. Vincent de Paul, sat with terminally ill patients at Mayo Clinic and also volunteered in the nursery rocking newborn infants. She enjoyed playing cards with her Bridge Club and working in her flower garden.

Kaye is survived by her sons, Randy Hanson of Maplewood, MN, Richard (Dee) Hanson of Victoria, MN, and Michael Hanson of Rochester, MN. Kaye is also survived by her grandson, Hunter of Victoria, MN; sister, Mary Lou (Don) Blaser of Mendota Heights, MN and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; parents, Hilding and Margaret Quale; her in-laws, Burt and Ila Hanson and many aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Pius X catholic Church, 1315 12^th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass.
