Kathleen A. Ingersoll

Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Ann Ingersoll 68, of Rochester passed away on June 29, 2012 at St Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN surrounded by her children and grandchildren after a short battle with cancer.

Kathy was born on April 30, 1944 daughter of George and Cornelia Lynaugh in Rochester, MN the fifth of eight children.  She resided in Rochester her entire life, attending Lourdes High School.   She was married to Arnold Quimby in 1962 who died at the age of 26.  She then married Ronald Ingersoll and was later divorced.

Kathy worked at Michael’s Restaurant in Rochester for over 33 years.  She had many favorite customers and wonderful coworkers over the years.

She loved to garden while teaching her children many gardening secrets.  She also loved to watch cooking shows and make new recipes.  Kathy loved spending time with her grandkids and it was apparent by the many pictures of her with them.

She is survived by her children Mike (Debbie) Quimby of Rochester, Sheryl (Steve) Langer of St Charles, Connie (Bill) Ewing of Rochester, Brenda (Todd) Wing of Rochester, and Steve (Shannon) Ingersoll of Dover, and is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; Justin, Holly, Zach, Brittany, Cody, Kaitlynn, Caleb, Logan, Breanna and Gabi.  Kathy is survived by all of her brothers and sisters:  Marge Byrne of Rochester, Pat Hoehne of Pine Island, Dan Lynaugh of Edina, Bernie Lynaugh of Kellogg, Barb Teal of Rochester, Jan McBride of Rochester, and Steve Lynaugh of Rochester.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Arnie and her first born son Jerry.  She was also preceded in death by her father & mother.

A memorial service will be at 11am on Friday July 6, 2012 at River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, MN.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home beginning at 10am.   Kathy will be laid to rest beside her first born son at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester, MN.

To All of Kathy's children, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Your Mother was a brave and couragous lady, on of a kind woman. So strong and yet so loving, she

had a inter strengh that had to be admired. She alone raise you to be good,hardworking, fun loving

individuals. Always remember you were her greatest accomplishment. She was so proud of her family

and adored her grandchildren. Now she is at peace and is waiting with your brother Jerry, til you are ALL
