Karen “Karry” Patton

Karen “Karry” Patton, 58, of Rochester, MN, died Thursday, March 16, 2023, peacefully at her home.

Karry was born on July 8, 1964 to Dennis and LaVonne Eide. She graduated from Byron High School in 1982 and continued her education with a degree in fashion merchandising at Rochester Community College. On May 5, 1984 she married the love of her life, Kevin W. Patton, here in Rochester, MN and together they had two beautiful daughters, Jessica (36) & Lydia (26). Spending time together as a family, especially on the lake at their Northern MN cabin, is cherished as the best of times.

Karry owned Flowers by Jerry alongside her husband. Together they have successfully ran the family business for over 25 years and it is now being passed down to the 3rd generation. She was the creative heartbeat behind the flower shop with her design and merchandising skills that will forever be missed.

Her relationship with the Lord and faith in Jesus has touched countless lives. The meaningful stories already being shared with her family confirm the extent of how God brought purpose with every day of her life. Jesus was her Lord and Savior, and we are comforted to know that she was fully healed when entering into the eternal home that He has prepared for her.

Karry had a deep love for her family, and it is the foundation of how they love and care for each other today. She taught them the vitality of faith first, family second, and everything else after. Karry especially enjoyed having “God Talks” with her grandson, Will (11), where he asked lots of questions about what he was learning in the Bible, and she always had the best answers. She was elated with the birth of her new baby granddaughter, Valor (6 mo), and continuing to see her family grow is what kept her fighting for so long.

One of her family’s favorite attributes of Karry was her compassion for animals and the need to help every stray that would come across her path! She loved all creatures and had a special passion for horseback riding, which she said made her feel free.

Our hearts are broken as we wait to be reunited with her in Heaven, but being held together by the love she has left with us. She is irreplaceable in every way.

All who know and love Karry and her family are welcome to join the celebration of her life at 12:00 (noon) Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 with a visitation beginning at 11am. Visitation and service will be in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home at 1119 11 ½ St SE Rochester, MN 55904 with a light luncheon to follow.

A link to the livestream will be available at www.mackenfuneralhome.com

While enjoying Heaven to the fullest, she leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Kevin Patton; her two loving daughters, Jessica Pearson (Dylan) and Lydia O’Connor (Logan); two beloved grandchildren Will & Valor Pearson; brothers Steve Eide, Jeff Eide & Dave Eide (Elaine); sisters Sue Bartel (Dan) & Sheri Tran; along with many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Condolences

The family of Karen “Karry” Patton has received the following condolences.

We were deeply saddened, hearing about karry. We know neither the day or the hour but are comforted knowing our lives are secured in Jesus Christ. May she shine with the light of Christ and await the blessed reunion in Christ Jesus in all of our resurrections. May she rest in peace. Sorry we did not see till after the visitation date, hope to visit with you soon and know of our deep sorrow with the glorious trust in Christ Jesus. Michael and Sharon Goldsmith”

We were family by marriage at one time. We have very special memories of all of you. We have continued to keep all of you in our prayers over the years. Especially Karry. Life begins when fear of death ends. Karry lived a life of a relationship with God. She kept her eyes on Jesus. They say God keeps all your tears. He weeps with you in your loss. He loved her and she walks with him now. May God hold you close. Give you his peace, love and comfort. She has many special gifts and I know she’ll serve him well.
May all of you be blessed in the name of Jesus.

We’re home bound right now or we would have been at the funeral.

God loves you and so do we.
Peace and Prayers.

Deepest sympathies to all of Karry’s loved ones. Cherished memories live through her family & friends. Karry was always kind, positive & smiling.

Such a lovely tribute to Karry. I am so sorry for your loss. The depth of pain is great, but the joy of her release is greater. May the Lord comfort each of you daily! Be kind to yourselves in the mourning process.

Dear Patton Family,

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your extraordinary wife and mother.

I met Kerry at Rochester Assembly 20 plus years ago and was saddened to learn of her passing. I am profoundly grateful to have known her and to have been able to share in her beautiful celebration of life service here online. To be able to see you her family worshiping and carrying on her legacy of deep and abiding faith, and her great love and obedience of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ is balm for my soul. Such a beautiful gift you all have given to those in attendance. May Jesus wrap his loving arms around you, each one and lead you onward through your grief. May the seeds of your grief be surrounded by the sunlight of warm care, the moistness of tears, and the richness of abundant compost so they may bloom into beauty after beauty. May you bloom and bloom open.

Sincerely,

Julie Ann (Smith) Nelson

Now she is done with her pain and in good hands with god we will all meet again someday sincerely..Brian and Tracy Williams

To the Patton, you have my deepest sympathies on the passing of your beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. Although I didnt know Karry that well, everytime I saw her she had the biggest smile on her face and that always made me feel good. She was awesome and and loved her for her promoting faith, family and everything else in that order. She is in a better place after suffering so long. God Bless and relive the legacy she has left with all of us.

Kevin and family. Jerry and Marlene. We are so sorry for your loss. Karry was a beautiful lady inside and out. Always had a smile and kind words. May God bless you during this difficult time. Gerry and Mary Anne Nonn.

That smile... and how could YOU not smile when you were around Karry?

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during these tough times. God bless.

Sincerely,

Matt Lynch and Family

We are so sorry for your loss.  Karry fought a long battle and is welcomed into Heaven. You have wonderful memories to sustain you. Prayers are coming your way from all of your friends in Leisure World.

Kevin & Family, we first meet you all attending RAG. I always remember Karry as being so sweet and caring and you knew she loved her family so much. Jessica and Dillon grew up with our son Chris and just loved watching them all grow into themselves as young adults. My hearts break for you all but losing my dad a year ago and knowing his love for the lord and knowing I’ll see him again one day keeps me going. I know you all have great faith and Karry is celebrating and knowing she is saving a place for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Keep those memories and love for each other close.

Kevin and family. My deepest condolences to you.  My happy memories of all my years working with Kerry will carry me through the days to come.  Her and I were always the first to put on the Christmas carols, in July, while we were upstairs working on wreaths and arrangements for the Christmas season, singing at the top of our lungs.    I’m sorry I won’t  t be there but we’ll be driving back from Ortonville MN from my husbands mothers funeral which is Monday otherwise you know I would be there.  All my love to you,  I thought the world of Kerry.

Heaven's gain. Karry was a gift, here on earth. To her entire family, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I first met Karry in line for a Christian conference in 2014. She and our mutual friend Brenda,  had gotten there two hours early like I did, so we could sit up front ?.

I knew I had met a woman as crazy about Jesus as I was lol. We became instant friends and sat together for the next three days. Karry and I had a very special and beautiful friendship.

every time I prayed over her, I kept getting Psalm 27:13-14 . That she would see the goodness of the Lord,  in the land of the living.

She is living that out right at this moment. I love and miss you my beautiful friend ❤️, and I will see you in heaven.

So very sorry. Our thoughts and prayers our with you Kevin, and your entire family. May the peace of of lord be with you and comfort you especially at this time and forever.

We are so very sorry to hear of Karry’s passing.  Our families have shared a lot of ‘happy, sad’ times, over the years, and feel fortunate to consider Jerry and Marlene our friends.  Also, Karry’s brother, Dave, has been a wonderful, and respected, co- worker of ours through a number of construction projects.  Our sincere condolences to all of you, and your families, as you navigate your new world with out your beautiful Karry.  What a truly lovely person she was…Carol and Joe Burnham

Karrys battle is over. We are so sorry to hear about her passing . Our thoughts n prayers are with all of you.

Kevin and family:  Pat and I send you our blessings and prayers for comfort and peace from our Heavenly Father during this time of loss!  What a blessing to know that this is all gain for Karry and she is feeling no more pain or sorrow at the feet of her Savior.  Some of the Psalms are called lament Psalms.  A lament prayer is something a Christian prays in trusting God.  Psalm 130 is one such psalm and assures all believers:  "We wait for the Lord, our soul waits and in His Word we put our hope!"  May the peace of God be yours through our Lord Jesus!

We are so sorry to hear of Karry's passing.   We both enjoyed visiting with Karry when we lived near Rochester and went to the Assembly Church. She was an incredibly beautiful woman and I enjoyed singing with her in the plays at church.   Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Kevin and family.  Our condolences go out to you and your entire family for your loss of Karry.  She was an idol for Sue and a person to be admired for her courage.  We pray for strength for the family during this difficult time.  God Bless.
