Condolences

The family of Joshua Daniel Evers has received the following condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss, you are in my prayers

You have no idea who we are but we feel your pain as it brings back memories when a child passes.   We also lost our daughter in a auto accident 11 yrs ago outside of Calmar on the gravel just across from NICC.  There are no words to ease the pain and suffering a Parent goes through in such a tragic accident.  If it were not for Friends and Family we could not of made it through.  And to this day it is like a bruise that never heals.

If there is anytime that you just need a shoulder I am here.  You are all in our Thoughts and Prayers

The Evers Family,  I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Josh.  Please know your family is in my thoughts at this sad time.

With sympathy,

Sonja Miedtke

I'm sorry I couldn't come to Josh's funeral.  But I've been praying for you since 11:30 (it's 2:00 now)...for strength to get through it and actually see it as the celebration of Josh, for you to be able to feel God's arms holding you up, for you to be able to remember some of the wonderful things that were said, for you to know how much you are loved.  I'm praying that the Josh-sized holes in your hearts would heal (well, be less excrutiating), but that every single smile and hug and happy moment you shared with Josh will remain alive and real and vivid.  I'm praying that you'll be able to remember the happy times without the horrific reality squeezing the breath out of you...that your laughter will be joy with no sorrow.  I'm praying that you will have the peace from God to be able to make it through the days ahead.  I'm praying our paths will cross soon.  Until then (and forever), you are loved, you are not alone, and Josh will never ever be forgotten.

Lisa

My heart aches for your family. My deepest sympathies to you all as you learn to move forward and cherish all the wonderful memories. I'm sure the why's??? will never go away but I pray the Lord will help bring you peace.

Take Care Evers family and God Bless

My thoughts and prayers are with you.  If there is anything I can do or help with, please let me know.

Corrie Schultz

I personally didn't know Joshua, but my 3 Boys, did. Christopher remembers always riding the bus with him to school and said what a NICE kid he was. Remembers hanging out and just being kids with him. Benjamin and Brett have their own memories too. The loss of a child is never easy to understand. And we don't ask why. Just know he was needed in his new home. And we will all see him again someday. Our deepest Sympathy goes out to the  whole Evers  Family. May He Rest In Peace~

I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss of Josh. As one of my former 6th grade students, I remember Josh as a caring, smiling, hard-working student. I feel privileged to have known him. You have my deepest, heartfelt sympathy.

I am very sorry for your loss. I am a class mate of Josh at NICC. Josh was fun to have in class and was a very nice young man. He will be missed, class will not be the same without him.

Lana,Dan and Jennifer

We were so saddened to here about Josh's tragedy. I still think of him as the little boy who was always helping his dad with any projects that were needed.  We will keep you in our prayers, may you have the strength to carry on.  We will be thinking of you.

Lana and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss.  My daughters know they are very blessed to have had Josh in their lives. I wish you Gods blessings to get through this tragic time; I know that your heart is broken. May you be given the strength to get up every day with Josh in your hearts.

We are real sorry for your lost, he meant alot to me. He was a best friend

Dear Lana and family,

May God wrap you in his loving arms and give you an extra measure of his comfort and peace.  I cannot imagine your pain at the loss of Josh.  Lana, I feel like I've "watched" him grow up whenever you'd give me updates on your family over the years.  May you find comfort in the knowledge that Josh knew his Savior and is walking with him now.  You and your family will continue to be in my prayers in the days and months ahead.

In Christ's love,

Gina

Dan, Lana, and Jennifer; At times like this, words can't say enough. We will always remember Josh's wonderful smile and gentle personality. He was all around great kid. Words cannot even begin to express the sorrow in my heart.  We are cousins by heart, and I am holding on tight to the memories Josh's beautiful smile and laugh as we were all together at Katie's wedding.

I'm sorry I can't be there, but please know I am sending all the love, hugs, and prayers I can for all of you.

Love you!

Amy

Dear Evers Family,
I was so saddened to hear about your terrible loss.  My thoughts were of your family as we celebrated All Saints Sunday in Church today.  How fortunate Josh was to have loving parents and family to ensure he was born into Eternal life.  Growing up with many of you, it was always apparent how important family was to all of you.  You have our sympathies and our continued prayers for strength and courage as you face the days ahead of you.
Colleen (Rath) and Jeff Thompson

Our prayers and thoughts goes out to you during this sad time.

Many of my colleagues here at Mayo high school knew Josh well and enjoyed his company. He spent many hours with me in the auto shop, where he expressed a talent and aptitude for all things mechanical. It seemed he always had a project going on, whether it be in the auto shop or the wood shop. He fit right in with us, and knew all the teachers in the CTE and PE departments well. There was, in fact, a great deal of good natured, back-and-forth banter whenever Josh walked into our classrooms; he could take it, he could dish it out, and he kept us on our toes! He was always welcome, as the minute he walked in the fun started, and everyone was smiling. It is in this way that I will always remember Josh. We share in your grief.  Gary Komaniecki

Lana - I am so deeply saddened by this horrible news.  My heart goes out to you and your family and I hope that you are able to find some form of peace during this difficult time.

I am so saddened by the news of your son, Josh.  Lana, I remember when I was working with you at OMC and you found out you were pregnant with Josh....it seems like such a short time ago.  I'm so sad for you and your family.  I pray that God will give you the strength to get through each and every day.....I just can't imagine what you're going through right now.  Just wanted to let you know, that I'm thinking about you and praying for you.  **Hugs** my friend....

Daniel, Lana and Jennifer,  We extend our sympathies on your loss.  We pray for strength from the Lord to get you through your great loss.  Sincerely, Dick and Marge Rengstorf

Dan & Lana,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  My family and I are sending our deepest sympathy to you and your family during this very difficult time.

Brenda Link & Don Fuehrer

Lana and family;

I am so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.

Dan, Lana and Jenn,

My thoughts, prayers and tears are with you and your family. I met Josh only once and the impression left with me was that he was raised with a lot of love by two wonderful parents.

Ryan King, Waverly, Iowa

Evers Family,

I am deeply and sincerely sorry for your tragedy. Josh and I went to school and played football together back in the day. It's such a shame to see him go, especially when he was starting to really stand on his own two feet. I'll never forget your son and how every time he'd see me he would purposely call me Mickey, instead of Mikey, just to be a goofball.

He was a good guy, and he had no reason to have to leave us so soon.

Stay strong and God bless you all,

Michael "Mikey" D. Doherty.

Hello:

I will not ask, "How are you doing?" because I can't imaging what you going thru... my deepest sympathy, i know that no words will make this easier but my thoughts and my prayers are with you and your family.

God will take Josh on his arm and walk him to his angels....

We Love you and God will give you strenght to see the sun again and smile, Lana

My dearest Lana and Dan:

I am so deeply saddened by your loss.  Even after raising five boys, with Caleb being in Josh's class at Mayo, there was never a day that I thought and prayed for nothing to even happen to my kids.  So, God must have a plan.  I feel your pain, and I hope the Jennifer is getting through this hard time as well.  My love goes out to all of you.  Lana, from mother to mother, I am thinking of you.  Please get ahold of me if and when you are ready to talk.  I am here for all of you.

Mona

Dan, Lana & Family~  So very sorry for your loss. It is so very difficult to loose a child, Words do not seem enough. Know that your entire family is in our thoughts and Prayers. May God bless you All.  (Jeanne Eickhoff family)

Dan, Lana, and Jennifer, we were so very sorry to hear about Josh's passing...I don't remember when or how Kyle met him, but he certainly was a great friend to Kyle.  I remember the many times the boys got together to play when they were younger and Josh coming to a few of Kyle's birthday parties.  I feel fortunate that we were able to know him and we are all praying that God holds you close in his loving arms at this time of terrible loss.

Dear Evers family, I am so sorry to hear about Josh.  My deepest sympathy goes out to all of your family.  To Dan, Lane, and Jennifer, I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you.  Irvin, and Ester, I'm so sorry that this had ti happen to you also,  and Keith, my best friend, I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you.  Evers family, everyone of you have my deepest sympathy, and all of you are definately are in my prayers, and will always be in my prayers.  God had a plan for Josh, but why so early in his  life?  We don't know, only God knows.  Josh is in Heaven now, and he is in the best place that he can ever be in.  Well, I want all of you to know that I sure will be praying for you, and thinking of you, in this hard time.  May God be with you not only in this hard time but Forever!  Love, Nicole Geistfeld

God's peace to you all.

Laurie

The Evers family: So sorry to read of the death of your son and grandson. It is especially hard when they pass over at such a young age. Sounds like he lived a full, if short, life.

Lana..I am going to give you the strongest hug ever on Sunday. Carry that strength with you in the days ahead. Dan...you get one too. And Jennifer...rememeber all the laughs you had with your brother.

Josh always wore that kind smile and had such a positive attitude. His happiness with life beamed from within because he was loved by so many. A son to be very proud of. Kris had a great time bowling with him through all those years.

To all of Joshua's family.  We just want you to know that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.  If only there were words to ease the pain but there are none so I won't even try.  Just know we are praying for you.

Sue & Doug Dunker (Brenden's grandparents)

Lana, Dan and family, My heart and prayers go out to you. No one should ever feel the pain and loss you are feeling.  I will miss seeing Josh's smile in church.  God Bless you and he will keep you close in his arms and protect you.

Words are insufficient. We are so very sorry.

Josh-I can't stop thinking about your suspicious little grin that you'd always give me whenever I walked into school and all your random little comments you'd have to say to me. Sad thing is, I don't even remember what exactly the last thing we talked about was. I just wish I could see you and give you one of those big hugs you always gave me. I miss you soo much and I'll always miss you and your goofy little smile. :(

Dan, Lana, and Jennifer,

Josh always made the lanes a sunnier place.  Your family is in my prayers.  Josh will always be in my heart.

Dear Evers family,

All though I didn't not know any of you personally I want you to know how much your son was loved and respected in my home town of Lanesboro. I think any where Josh went he would be able to make friends, when Tanner brought him to the cabin for the first time I remember asking "wow who is that kid with those gorgeous eye's?" Your son was an amazing friend and was almost like part of the family.. just like the Fersh's! My deepest sympathy goes out to you all at this hard time. If you ever want to get away to a place that Josh loved you are welcome to our cabin anytime.
