John R. Fischer
John Ralph Fischer passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack while hunting with his son CJ on Sunday, November 1st, 2015. He was born to Ralph Fischer & Luverna Woelpert in Rochester, MN on May 26th, 1944.
He attended School in Rochester before joining the Marines. He loved spending time with family. Fishing, hunting and the great outdoors were his passion.
John is survived by his loving wife, Lee and five children: Shelly Fischer Kiefer, Mary Fischer Truman (Jeff Weatherly), Kris Fischer, Clinton Fischer (Katie), Debra Kay Twitchell; 11 grandchildren: Tricia, Tonya (Kyle Hulberg), Travis, Luka, Crystal, Sterling, Michelle, Katelyn, Emma, Jack, John, Amanda (David Tofflemire) and Ben; three great grandchildren Isaiah, Xavier and Madelyn; seven stepgrandchildren, Tiffany, Tim, Brandon, Carrie, Alicia, Cody and Jasmine. John is also survived by his loving stepmother Betty Fischer, a brother Michael Fischer (Darlene) and a sister Caron, (Bob Gilbert). John was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. A memorial service for John will be held at 11:00AM Friday, November 6, 2015 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
