John P. Geier

John Peter Geier, aged 80, passed away on April 1, 2025, at Madonna Towers in Rochester, MN, surrounded by loved ones. John was born on February 1, 1945, to Victor and Anna Geier, in Bremerton, Washington.

At 17, John served in the United States Navy from 1962- 1966, spending 2 years in Hawaii working in the commissary, and 2 years in San Diego, CA working on un-commissioned ships.

John married Victoria (Vikki) Felt Geier and together they had 3 daughters, Angela, Shannon, and Jonnette. John worked at the Faribault Regional State Hospital as a CNA and at the Mayo Clinic as a janitor.

John fell in love again and married Nancy Johnson on April 28, 1993, and John welcomed Traci and her family as part of his family.

John’s favorite hobbies were spending time with his family, motorcycle riding, and fishing.

John is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his daughters Angela, Shannon, and Traci; his 12 grandkids; and 30 great-grandkids.

John was proceeded in death by his parents, Victor & Anna Geier; his 1st wife Victoria (Felt) Geier; younger brother Larry; older sister Mary Ann; and youngest daughter Jonnette (Geier) Barnhart.

A Memorial Gathering will take place from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
