John M. Finley

John Finley, 66, of Kasson, Minnesota died Friday September 20, 2019 at his residence of natural causes.

John was born August 20, 1953 in Rochester, Minnesota to Richard and Jane (Brandt) Finley.

He graduated from Kasson Mantorville High School in 1971. John lived in Mesa, Arizona for a few years before returning to Minnesota. John worked as a skilled welder and fabricator.

John enjoyed Karate in his early years, along with riding his motorcycle and fabricating. He enjoyed spending time alone watching westerns and old movies.

Survivors include his parents Richard and Jane Finley of rural Kasson. A brother Randy Finley of rural Dodge Center, four sisters Cindy (Cees) Kattenberg of Owatonna, Brenda (Jerry) Hoffman of Grand Meadow, Lisa (Kevin) Trom of Zumbrota, Kim Finley of Kasson. John had five nieces and six nephews along with great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Melody (Randy) Finley and a brother-in-law Jim (Cindy) Fountain.

The funeral will be held at 11:30am on September 28, 2019 at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Pastor Dan Ashpole officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.  The visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
