John J. Jennison, Jr.

John “Jack” Jennison, 85, of Rochester, MN passed away at his cabin in Wabasha, MN March 18, 2024.

Jack was born to John & Maggie (Fallon) Jennison February 2, 1939 in Winona, MN. He attended high school at Rochester High School. Jack joined the Navy in 1956 and was later honorably discharged in 1962. Jack married Myrna Manthei on December 23, 1964.

Jack worked in the family owned gas station in Rochester from 1965 until about 1973. Following his time at the family business, Jack worked for the Rochester Park & Rec until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with family, and traveling around the world with Myrna.

Jack is survived by his wife, Myrna; a son Bill Jennison; daughter Kathy (Troy) Dickinson; grandchildren Tyler, Amanda, and Lindsey Dickinson; great-grandson Westyn Dickinson; and a brother Joseph (Shirley) Jennison. He was preceded his parents and a brother James Jennison.

A private family celebration of life followed by burial at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Preston, MN will take place at a later date.
