JoAnne Kraft
JoAnne Kraft, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
JoAnne Reed was born on July 20, 1934 to Lawrence and Sarah Reed in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. She graduated from Rochester High School. On September 26, 1953 she married Melvin Kraft in Rochester after meeting him while working at the Cozy Inn Cafe’ in Rochester. She later worked at Waters-Conley and Mayo Clinic. Together they raised three children. JoAnne especially loved her husband, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, quilting, traveling, puzzles, and her dog Radar.
She is survived by her husband Melvin, her children David Kraft of Rochester, Sherri (Dean) Baker of Mazeppa, Dan (Cecilia) Kraft of Rochester, sisters Alberta Hoyer of Rochester, Lorraine Sikkink of Rochester, Phyllis (Elmer) Rubow of Chester, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lois Zieman and a brother Larry Reed.
A Funeral Service for JoAnne will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church (222 6th Ave SW Rochester, MN 55902) with Rev. Joel D. Haak officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Rochester.
Memorials will be donated to the Mayo Hospice Program.

dear Sherri, Dean, Krista, Kari and Kraft family, My heart hurts for you all..... Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you all I met your mum when Our kids were babies!!! Great memories. Losing a parent is awful, now we exist in this new normal and it's an adjustment. I wish you comfort and peace. Much love!!!!!
