Joan E. Noser

Joan E. Noser, 67, of Rochester, died peacefully Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Seasons Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joan was born on April 12th, 1948 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester to Estelle and Earl Huey.  She attended St. Francis School and graduated from Lourdes High School in 1966.  She went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in interior design.  On June 26, 1971, she married Gary Noser at St. Francis Church in Rochester.  Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Joan worked briefly in design in Minneapolis and New York before beginning her family.  She also assisted in the creation of her husband’s business, Quarry Hill Park Animal Hospital and designed the family home in Rochester.  Devoted to the Catholic Faith, Joan gave generously of her time and treasure and was an ardent defender of life. Her humility was exceeding.

Joan was a model wife and mother.  She was tirelessly committed to her husband and children, supporting them in all of their undertakings in life.  Joan was always available for advice and encouragement.  She served as the family seamstress making an endless number of curtains, dresses alterations and baptismal gowns.  An amazing cook, she hosted countless family gatherings.  Watching Molly play golf, canning pickles with her grandsons, patriotism and praying the Rosary brought her joy.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband Gary; children, Jessica (Yasir) Aziz of Virginia, Britt (Kelly) Noser of Rochester, Josh (Ann) Noser of Rochester, Molly (Nick) Jarrett of Rochester; grandchildren Kristian, Leopold, Frederick, Theodor, Marie, Helene, Nadia, Wilhelm, Isaac, and Thomas; siblings Kathleen (Terrance) Smith, Carl Huey, and Mary Lawrence.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred to Pro-Life Action Ministries, http://plam.org/.

The funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January, 16th 2016 at 10:30AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rochester with Father Mark McNea officiating.  Lunch will be served after the burial.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitations will be held on Friday, January, 15th 2016 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Saturday.

Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com

I was so sorry to hear of Joannie's (that's how I always remember her)passing. We graduated from Lourdes together. My mother Jo Kuntz used to see her at church and kept me updated on what was happening. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Molly,

Our hearts go out to you and your family during this time of deep loss. Molly, I know the love between a mother and daughter. You and your mother exemplified that love. What a beautiful, gracious love. Although you have suffered and grieve, know that love is always with you. God's gift of love is tremendous and you have been so blessed to experience it to the very fullest. Please know you are in our prayers as you continue to walk this journey. May you feel peace of heart and may you continue to cherish this gift of love.

My deepest condolences go out to Gary Noser and your family.  There is nothing on earth any of us can say or do to lessen this loss.  It is only time and love that heal.  God Bless you on your journey and hope you find some comfort in the love of family and friends.

Josh (and family )

So sorry for your loss. My son Chris and I have many great memories of your mom and all the special things she did while you guys were at St Francis. What a special person she was.

Blessings, Jody, and son, Chris Sullivan

I am so sorry to hear of Joan's death. We got to know the family on Sundays at Mass at the Church of the Resurrection. What a beautiful family she has! My mother, Marge, thought the world of her and especially her daughter, Molly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. My the good Lord bring you peace and comfort.

Dear Gary and family,

We remember Joan from high school, she was such a darling teenager and a year behind us at Lourdes. Later, after you and Joan married and opened your animal hospital, both of our sons, Chris and Andrew worked for you as teenagers. Our daughter, Molly reminded me that she also babysat for you and Joan when your children were young. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. May God bless you all.

Larry and Luanne Koshire

You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of Joan.  I have fond memories of playing with her and Kathy when they visited our grandparents in Prairie du Chien.

She had a good soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

I am so sorry I won't be able to attend her visitation or funeral as we will be in Florida.

Love to all,

Jean

I am sorry to hear about your mother.  We share the belief of life eternal with our Lord Jesus for all who believe.   While that brings us assurance of your mother's peace and happiness and an eventual reunion in heaven, it does not heal the ache you have in your heart right now.  God be with you as you move forward one day at a time.  Your family is in my prayers.

Josh, Molly, Jess and Britt:

Times with you all, especially Jess, as a kid were some of my best memories as a kid.  Jess was the little sister I never had and we were this toe-headed group of rugrats running around.  Your mom was this beautiful strong quiet person that loved you kids and your dad so much. She seeped out love from every pore.  I know life is never perfect and never perfectly kind and Joan is the last person who ever should have had to go through what she did and yet she did it with strength, poise and love.... like it seems to me she did, almost everything.   I am so sorry for your loss and for Gary's struggles as well and love you all very much.  Please know I am thinking of you all so often and am praying for your healing and purpose in this truly difficult time. All my love and sympathy,

Liz

Our deepest condolences.

She was special.

We had the pleasure of meetingJoan on one of her visits to see her daughter and family in Virginia.  She was loving, and dedicated to her grandchildren.  Inspite of her condition, she exuded life and was living  life to its fullest. She will be missed.

Jessica is a living testament to the character of her mother!.

Jessica,

Much love to you all, Ramsey

Death brings pain that only time can heal,

No words can ease what we truly feel,

But with God, her joy is a eternally he sealed,

And cherish her memories that death can't steal,

Lift up a smile for she is already in paradise.

 My deepest condolences

My Auntie Joanie - a natural beauty through and through. Simple in the most elegant way.  I have so many wonderful memories of our times together.  I will wear the mink coat with pride and remember how lovely it looked on you.  I will miss your smile, your laugh, and the way you always brought comfort and love to me.  Our New Years Eve celebrations were so fun!  I was a proud bridesmaid in your wedding and still remember how beautiful you looked that day and every day.  I will miss you and will always hold you close in my heart, but I am glad to know your suffering and your brave battle with cancer is over and you are with your God in Heaven.  To the Noser family - I am so sorry for your loss.  Losing a mom is one of the toughest losses in life.  You will be in my prayers and thoughts.  Love to you all.   Teresa Huey Wegner
