Jerriann Decker

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerriann Ruth Decker, who left this world peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Rochester, Minnesota, on June 4, 1946 to Rowland and Cora (Peck) Millard. Jerriann was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jerriann dedicated a significant portion of her life to her work, proudly serving in the retail industry, particularly at JCPenney, where she formed lasting connections and enjoyed her role. Her vibrant spirit shone through in her many passions, including her love for shopping, particularly garage sales, and her talent for crocheting. She delighted in home cooking and baking, with a special fondness for soups that warmed the hearts of her family and friends.

Jerriann was a magical grandmother, a role she cherished deeply as she helped raise her grandchildren, imparting love and wisdom with every interaction. Her kindness and infectious sense of fun created a nurturing environment for those around her. She found joy in the little things, including the companionship of her beloved dog, Cody.

Jerriann is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter, Paula, granddaughter, Steph, and her Aunt Bev. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Brian (Sherry), son-in-law Darrin, grandchildren Sabrina, Tristen, Jaedon, Connor, Hayden, Peyton, Carter, Westyn, and Colton, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Violet.

A small graveside service for family and friends will be held at 2 pm on July 28, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Dover, Minnesota.
