Jennymier R. Armstrong

JennyMier Raval Armstrong was called home to heaven on May 24, 2025, after a brief illness.  She was 33 years old.

Jen was born on August 11, 1991, in Zamboanga City, Philippines, to James Raval and Ma.Delores Talang.  Jen graduated from high school and college, graduating with a BS in business administration and a major in financial management.  When Jen was young, she contracted rhematic fever; this seriously damaged her heart.

In November of 2021, Jen met Darrel Armstrong online.  The two began communicating regularly and fell in love.  In August of 2023, Darrel visited Jen in the Philippines and they got engaged.  In 2024, Jen had major heart surgery in Manilla.

This April, Jen was finally able to come to America.  On April 18, Darrel and Jen were married at Ascension Lutheran Church in Rochester, surrounded by family and friends.

Jen and Darrel had so many plans for their future.  They looked forward to picnics in Rochester’s many parks, getting to know the area, and seeing the leaves changes.  Jen was especially looking forward to seeing snow for the very first time.  Since Jen loved dogs, they were thinking about getting a dog of their own.

Jen planned on becoming a member of Ascension.  She knew the forgiving love of Jesus and trusted in Him as her Savior.  Little did anyone know, she would see Jesus face to face so soon.

Jen is survived by her mother, two brothers, one sister, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is also survived by her beloved husband, Darrel.  Darrel misses Jen terribly and has a broken heart.  But he knows that he will see Jen again in heaven.

Jen’s funeral will be at Ascension Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 10, at 6:00 PM.  Jen’s family and friends will gather to celebrate God’s grace in Jen’s life and all the blessings He gave her.  There will be a meal following the service.

I met you briefly in May, Jennymier, but even in that short time, your warmth, kindness, and grace left a lasting impression. 💫 It’s heartbreaking that your journey here was so short — arriving with hope in April, and leaving us far too soon after.

Your light touched everyone around you, and your memory will stay with us. Fly high, beautiful soul — free, radiant, and at peace. 🕊️

Ang iyong liwanag at kabutihan ay damang-dama ng mga taong nakapaligid sa’yo. Lumipad ka nang mataas, magandang kaluluwa — malaya, maliwanag, at payapa.

Paalam, Jennymier. Mamahalin ka namin at hinding-hindi ka malilimutan. 💖

I still remember how we used to play house, the bonds we shared, the laughter we had, and the parties we spent together.
Those moments, will still stay with me.

We may not have grown close as years passed, but no amount of time or distance can take away your place in my heart.

You were once my playmate, but always, you'll be my cousin, part of my story. Rest in peace, En.

Darrel,

In the grand scope of all eternity, this flesh life is less than a blink of time. We’ll all be together soon in the ever-present, loving arms of Jesus, where I will have the opportunity to get to know your beautiful Jen.

My beautiful sister, you will be missed dearly. I love you and I miss you so much until we are together again your forever sister. God has a special angel now. You may not be with us now, but you’re always in our prayers and in our thoughts, and in our hearts.

I was saddened to hear about your passing.
Even though we weren’t very close, I still remember your kindness and the light you carried.
May you rest in peace, and may your loved ones find comfort during this painful time.
Gone too soon En.🤍🕊️

There are no words or sentiments that can be expressed for this sudden change of events. It is never easy, nor should it be, that we, that are on a human level that faces a transition of a loved one so dear and close to us. Especially two beautiful souls that were meant to be together, as long as it was to be. There of course is one question, why so short? There are many answers however and each one of us can only speculate. The truth of this matter is only the Divine has that answer and in time, in prayer, in meditation, and in solitude may that be given. For now, the love between Darrel and Jen is eternal and true, because they both loved for one reason; to simply love one another, take care of each other, and to enjoy the world together. When two people with a pure reason to simply love, then the Creator smiles, shines, and blesses this Spiritual Union and makes that promise that a re-union will one day happen, with a continuation of even a greater love expressed, beyond any imagination. I bless and honor Jen as she soars with Angel Wings to the other side of the veil, knowing that she is indeed guided, guarded, and loved by those in the etheric realm that welcomed her home. She will always surround my brother Darrel and always by his side as a wife and best friend. I have known Darrel since grade school and he will always have me as a friend and support as I also bless his heart, his soul to find some peace and comfort in these times. "Goodbyes are only for those who Love with their eyes. Because for those who Love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation." ~ Rumi. Peace and Richest Blessings always, in all ways.
