Jeffrey Mark Zabel

Jeffrey M. Zabel, 54, of Rochester passed away of a undiagnosed heart condition at his residence on Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

Jeff treasured spending time with his son, William. He loved him with all his heart. Together they enjoyed playing video games, fishing, traveling, and watching movies.

He is survived by his son, Will; mother, LaVerne; his siblings, Mike Zabel of Echo, MN, Patty Sandmeyer of Rochester, Sue (Ron) Moffit of Rochester, John (Gayle) Zabel of Hudson, WI, Chris (Cheryl) Zabel of Rochester, and Barb (Dave) Klein of Clearwater, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bob; and grandparents.

Condolences

The family of Jeffrey Mark Zabel has received the following condolences.

I am sorry for your loss. May you rely on the God of all comfort during this difficult time. The widow and Fatherless boy he relieves (Psalm 146:9). He lovingly provides us with the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection (Isaiah 26:19, John 5:28, 29 and 1Thessalonians 4:13, 14) We can trust this promise because God has furnished a guarantee to all men in that he resurrected him from the dead (Acts 17:31). "Him" is Jesus Christ.

Jeff will be truly missed.  Wonderful guy as well as a Dad.  I wrote a little bit on his timeline.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family.  Jeff was our delivery driver for SpeeDee and I've worked with him daily for several years.  We were shocked and saddened to hear the news.  Jeff always cracked a joke and had a smile to share.

Dear Patty and Zabel Family,

So saddened by your sudden loss.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Rita (Sell) Marquardt

I knew jeff through work. He was our speeDee delivery driver.

He was a grouch some days but him and I could get each other to laugh or most likely say smartass remarks back and forth.

I was very sad and shocked to hear that he had passed away. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

RIP Jeff!

Dear Zabel Family- Not only backdoor neighbors but  friends for as long as I can remember. I am heartbroken you have to go through this but it is part of the life cycle. Pop Zabel now has a son to share his wonderful eternal home with. May God bless you all and give you peace. I am a phone call away if you need anything. Love, Jeanne

LaVerne,

I worked with you many years ago at St Mary’s hospital. I was saddened to see the news of your son, Jeffrey. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

In deepest sympathy,

Ann Houser
