Jayne Elizabeth Easley

Jayne Elizabeth Easley 1-18-1950 to 2-24-2021

Jayne Elizabeth Easley went to be with her Lord on February 24, 2021 in Rochester, MN at Riverbend.

She was born January 18, 1950, in Springfield, IL to James and Drusilla Easley.

Jayne attended Longfellow Elementary and Mayo High School. For approximately 30 years, she worked at the Mayo Clinic as Surgery Assistant. She was devoted to her family, friends, and her Lord. She was active in her church, Christ United Methodist. Daily communication with family and friends were her joy. She especially loved her dog, Jenny. Recently, she had a collection of wonderful stuffed animals…her favorites were her interactive Golden Retriever, Deuce and cat, Abby.

As young woman, she loved to travel the world by herself and with family. As a young girl, she enjoyed travel adventures with her parents and all of her siblings. She enjoyed knitting caps for new born infants, cooking, watching cooking shows, and decorating for holidays.

Jayne was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her parents, her beloved brother-Steven Lee, uncles, aunts, cousins, and great niece-Ophelia Faye.

Jayne is survived by brother, Marc (Charla) Easley and their son, Michael of TX; brother, Greg (Sandra) Easley and their children, Lauren, Brian & Hannah of AZ, Alison & Travis Easley-her brother Steven’s children of WA; and Lola Toohey-maternal aunt (and Lola’s children-Mike, Emily, and Susan of IL).

Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, MN will be handling the care of her cremation and interment at Oakwood Cemetery-Rochester, MN.

The family of Jayne Elizabeth Easley has received the following condolences.

I too worked with Jayne in the OR's at Methodist Hospital.

Later, I had family at Riverbend so  I had the opportunity to see her and visit about the good ol' days and the fun people we worked with.

May Peace be yours.

Shari and Family - Greg's extended family

I fondly remember Jayne as a dependable friend and assistant in the OR’s at Methodist Hospital where we worked. She was always prepared in advance for for the next anticipated need of surgeon or nurse. She took pride in pleasing all she worked with. She spoke often of her family and her travels with them. Her hugs were often times unexpected, but she delighted in giving them. I will miss your smile Jayne.

May God grant you peace.
