Janet Everts

Janet I. Herrick Everts, 90, of Rochester, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Madonna Meadows surrounded by her loving daughters.

Janet was born January 7, 1934 in Rochester, MN to Ray and Loretta (Dickmann) Herrick. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1952. Janet married Phillip J. Everts in 1953 and they later divorced. Janet had several jobs throughout her life, including working at the movie theater, K-Mart, a dentist office, A.B.C. and Janet sold Avon for years. She loved old movies, music, and she had a passion for shopping. Above all, Janet loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and taking care of her plants. Janet was very thoughtful, had the best smile and always a twinkle in her eyes. She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Mike) Parkin, Theresa Everts and Cindi (Jeff) Johnson all of Rochester; five grandchildren, Lisa (Ryan) Krieg, Tim (Leal Seagura) Parkin, Steve Hain, Andrew (Anna) Hain and Bethany Erdmann and eleven great-grandchildren, River, Dakota, Lucy, Mabel, Claire, Taylor, Finley, Celeste, Max, Clara and Mollie.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2024 at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12^th St. SE, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Rev. Beth Joyner will be officiating with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family.
