unser herzliches Beileid zu eurem Verlust. Wir sind in Gedanken bei euch.

Irina & David Kremer

Dear Renate, Alex, Beth and Dee,  our condolences to you. We will always remember Jim and the great times we spent with him; traveling through Bavaria, going to the planetarium, seeing the Rose Parade, eating great Mexican food, so many things. And the generosity with which he made these things possible! It is rare to meet someone who wants to share so much of what they have and who they are! You were one in a million cousin and we'll miss you greatly.  Much love, Spencer and Maritza

Dear Renate, Alexandra and the Tiedeman family,

I feel lucky to have known Jim for many years.  I learned a lot from him about being generous and committed, and about the power that comes from doing good things for other people and really living in the conviction of your beliefs.  We shared mostly good times as well as some hard times working together, but whatever was going on Jim was always 100%.

You have all been in my thoughts over the past weeks - I wish you strength going forward.

John

Dearest Jim, Renate and Family

So many good memories, so many good times together.  I will not forget our friendship.  You were a true close friend and I know your transition has been a good one.

I am very saddened to not be able to speak with you in this realm but know that you are just around the corner for your loved ones, family and friends.

I know you stopped by while I was at the hairdresser, playing Spirit in the Sky, just as I was thinking about you.  It was your way to let us know.

I know I will be seeing you someday again, and look forward to our laughs and tipping a good beer again.

My prayers go out to you, your family, and all your friends.

The native Americans never say goodbye, So there are no goodbyes here.  Only until we meet again.

Bis wir uns wieder sehen Jim

Im Sympathy

Ron

It is with great sadness that I learned of Jim's passing. I met him when he joined the team while I was coordinating the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow business plan competition run by the American German Business Club in Frankfurt. His initial enthusiasm never waned, nothing was too much trouble, and his support was invaluable. He was also able to secure funding from his employer at the time, AT&T, which was greatly appreciated. His jovial manner and positive outlook on life will always be remembered.

My deepest sympathy goes out to those he has left behind.

Jim was a wonderful, kind, and generous person. I met him when I was in Germany in 1987 and he was part of a small group of friends that hung out in Augsburg. We had some good times and great fun.  I am lucky enough to have remained friends with him and Renate for all of these years since.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I am honored to have known him.  My condolences to his family.

Liebe Renate, liebe Alexandra,

Dear Brother Jim, Family and Friends,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of our dear brother James.  He and I became acquainted in the summer of 1976 in Mankato Minnesota.  We met one another and he shared his ideas of faith, of having a personal intimate relationship with the creator of all, through the life and death of Jesus.  After our first encounter I was never the same again, and my life had changed as I went through a true transformation.  So from 46 years ago until this day, I have enjoyed a deeper faith, a closer sense of the Holy Spirit and the blessings of heaven.  Jim was the one witness who at a designated time, spoke with me of the simple yet powerful love of God.  We shared many meals together, along with a few other young men like brothers Rick Leitzman, Peter Wendt, and several others that broke bread together and shared our lives in 1976-78.  It is sad to say, it has been close to 40 years since I've seen Jim face to face, but we did follow one another on Face Book.  Gods love and blessings be with all of you, especially now with his wife and daughter.

Warmly, Drew Campbell of Mankato MN USA

Lieber Jim,

The world has one less wonderful person in it without Jim. I thank him for making Renate’s life a joy and being a great dad to Alex.
