Jacquelyn “Jackie” Glover
Jacquelyn P. Glover, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 1, 1935, in Rochester, to Henry and Dorothy (Holloway) Hein.
Though born a city girl, who left Rochester for California with her parents, for work in the shipyards during WWII, Jackie adapted quickly to being a farmer’s daughter, when they returned to settle on what remains the family farm, outside Eyota.
She married Larry Glover of Utica on May 29, 1958, and they were later divorced.
Her fearless devotion to her family, quick wit, and genuine love of people brought her through many a trial and into many a heart.
She is survived by five children, Kim (Curt) Schumacher, Kent (Dawn) Glover, Kevin Glover, Kara (Joe) Welch, and Kraig Glover; ten grandchildren, Kyle (Sarah) Glover, Jeret Glover, Cody Glover, Jacque Glover, Ryan Glover, Sara (Matt) Pientok, Aron (fiancée Angel Pingry) Welch, Rachel (Brandon) Berg, Amanda (Patrick) Collins, and Reese Glover; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others Jackie’s life touched are invited to a memorial gathering from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 12th in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, Rochester with Rev. Lester Horntvedt officiating. There will also be visitation from 10:00 AM up to the time of services at 11:00 on Friday, April 13th in the Macken Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program, and Mayo Hospice, which were instrumental in Jackie’s journey.
