Harriette “Boots” Roth

Harriette “Boots” Roth, 95 of Rochester, died peacefully at her home on October 3, 2018.

Harriette Josephine Mrozek was born on June 8, 1923 in Winona, Minnesota to Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Mrozek.

She attended Winona Public School and graduated from Winona High School. On April 30, 1960 she married William “Bill” Roth in LaCrosse, WI. The couple had met at the Popcorn Tavern in LaCrosse, WI.

Harriette enjoyed many years of square dancing and cards at the Rochester Senior Citizens Center. She also had many dear friends she played bridge with weekly.  Harriette’s greatest joy was Steve and Carol’s three boys – Matt, Nathan and Nick.  Harriette attended all their home hockey games and could be seen cheering them on in the stands.  She was their number one fan.   Harriette would say jokingly, that she should be buried on the hill behind their home hockey rink so she could watch them play hockey all day long.

She is survived by her husband Bill of Rochester, her daughter Mary Beth Conway of St. Louis, MO, her daughter-in-law Carol Roth and her children Nathan and Nick of Oronoco, her grandchildren Leah Higar, of Decatur, Illinois, Laura Cawthorn of Atlanta, Georgia, Kassia Conway of Los Angelos, California, Josh Wooden of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her sons Mike Wooden and Steve Roth, and her grandson Matthew.

The Memorial Mass for Harriette will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father James Seitz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in the Oronoco Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Amy Nelson and Gretchen Cutshall for the special love and care they have shown over the years.

Memorials are preferred to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
