Jerry attended Rochester Catholic Schools for her education and graduated from Lourdes High School in 1946. She married Charles (Chuck) Brown in 1947 and together they raised five children. Jerry was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic church and was very active in the school while her children were students there. She also was an active member of the St. Pius Women’s Alter Groups that supported the church and school.

Jerry was employed for many years as a receptionist and bookkeeper for a hair salon in Rochester. She also worked for nearly 15 years at the Dayton’s / Macy’s store in Apache Mall. After retiring, she and Chuck enjoyed traveling, spending time with their family and watching their grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports and other school activities.

The family wishes to acknowledge the staff at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center and the nurses from Mayo Hospice for the outstanding care given to our mom during the final weeks of her life.

A Memorial service will take place on May 23, 2024 at 2:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be sent to Lourdes Foundation, for the Chuck and Jerry Brown Scholarship, or Donor’s choice.
