Nancy and I will long remember our trip, along with Larry and Barb , to Orlando to a barber convention of sorts. The six of us culminated our trip with dinners and drinks at Church Street Station. Within the decor of the restaurant was recycled confessional from an old Catholic Church As the evening progressed there seemed to be an immediate need for an Irish Catholic Barber to receive confession and communion. As we looked around the table I took it upon myself to claim the position of Most Holy. I inserted a folded white napkin in my collar and wrapped a large table napkin around my head as we proceeded to the confessional much to the consternation of our wives, who along with the rest of the crowd at the restaurant, thought we had been slightly over served. Moments like that amongst friends make life worthwhile. And I still have the pictures! Rest in peace my friend, till we met again! Gary and Nancy Berg

Dear Charlotte and Family,
I’m very sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. Remembering him from after high school, barber school in Mpls and many class reunions. A good man.

Charlotte,
So sorry for the family's loss. I got my haircuts for 50 years from Jerry and Larry when they started with Galen until they both retired. I knew he was out of my class when he started driving a Cadillac. I loved his sense of humor and enjoyed our visits when I ran into him outside of work and after he retired. He was a truly great guy and will be truly missed.
Charlotte, Peggy and Paula, I’m so sorry to about Jerry. I always thought of him as my Uncle!! I wish I could be in Rochester for the memorial but I don’t drive anymore and have more scans on Monday. Please give hugs to each other for me. Jill Woodward You are in my prayers

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Jerry was much more than just a nice guy. He was truly very kind and caring. When my dad was home sick with cancer, Jerry made house calls to cut my dad's hair. That was a huge boost to my dad and really helped out our family. My thoughts and prayers to Jerry and his own family.
Paula and family:
So very sorry for the loss of your father, husband, and grandfather. Cherish all the wonderful memories you have through this difficult time of loss.
