Georgianna “Georgie” Donahue

The Memorial Mass for Georgianna “Georgie” Patricia Donahue will be at 1:00PM on Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Mark McNea officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Georgie, 95 passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital.  Georgianna Robinson was born on June 9, 1917 in Fosston, MN.  She graduated from Crary High School in Crary, ND. She worked as a switchboard operator in ND before marrying Jack Donahue in Yakima, WA in 1941. Together, the couple owned and operated a grocery store in Yakima, until moving to Rochester in 1957.  She was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church for over 50 years and was very active in the St. Francis Rosary Group. She loved roses, hummingbirds, and cardinals.

Georgie is survived her two sons, Bill Donahue of St. Louis, MO,  Pat (Liz) Donahue of Abilene, TX, a daughter Pam (Paul) Persons of Grand Meadow, MN, six grandchildren, and nine great-granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack of 70 years, her parents, five brothers, and three sisters.

I am in california at my daughter Laura's. i just looked on the PB site and see where your mother had passed away.  You  and your family have my condolences. I didn't know your brothers. I am sure you will miss her and her wonderful smile. Thinking of you and saying a prayer .
