Condolences

The family of Evelyn “Evie” Cashman has received the following condolences.

My memory of Evie is of a woman who was always welcoming, friendly and with a great sense of humor. I hope you are able to focus mostly on the many years and countless great memories you have of her good life. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in your time of loss.

Dear Cashman Family,

Thank you so much for sharing your mom Evie with us.  What a remarkable lady.  I always aspire to be more like her; her smile made everyone feel welcome and her positive comments made you feel like she really listened.  Evie was also an advocate & ambassador for all seniors as a Madonna Towers Board member and most recently as one of the four who advocated for the Closed Loop Hearing system installed at our Sr. Generose Auditorium & the main Towers Chapel.  I and many of the staff and her resident friends will miss this wonderful lady.  Our hearts and prayers are with the Cashman family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Evie through our volunteering at St. Mary's Gift Shop.  Such a delightful person, my condolences to her family.

Margie,

I’m sorry to hear about the death of your Mother.  I’m thinking of you and your family and will hold you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Diana

Evie's children, especially Ed and Eileen:

Prayerful sympathies on the death of your mother.  I saw her frequently over the years, especially at Cashman weddings, funerals, and diocesan functions at St. Joe's Owatonna, and lately at St. John's.  We always chatted, and she was ever and fittlingly proud of her children.  I'd like to build you a lasagna, but I wouldn't know where to take it!  I can't get to the visitation tomorrow, as I have Mass at the same time,  to greet you personally, so this will be my stand in, may Evie rest in peace, and each of you know peace as well.

Fr. Ed McGrath, St. Mary, Chatfield

My prayers are with you Cashman family. Your Mom did as God wanted and he has called her home. After raising all you kids, ( we know that was not always easy.) She has a special place in heaven.

I extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family. May the soul of your mother be at peace with our Heavenly Father

Blessings on the Cashman family as you grieve Evelyn's death.  Evie was a beloved sister to our Sister Lucille who preceeded Evie' death.  Lucy often spoke of her sister Evie as she shared her family history. I will keep your family in my prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Cashman's passing. I went to school with the kids and she was always a delight and made me feel welcomed.  I had just seen her last year and she looked so pretty and had her warm smile.

I send my condolences to the Cashman Family with thoughts of love, light, love, prayers and peace.

Heaven has gained another wonderful Angel.

Evie was like a second mother to me growing up with Neil, Margie, Betty and Nancy.  We (Neil's buddies) were always welcome at the Cashman residence, whether it was in Rochester or at the cabin in Wabasha.  Rest in peace, Evie...the good Lord knows you've earned it.

Mrs. Cashman was a bright ray of sunshine in my childhood.  I loved that a mom of seven had time to help out with our cheerleading efforts at St Johns and host amazing slumber parties. A positive force to emulate.
