Eugenia “Jean” M. Pehler

The funeral Mass for Eugenia “Jean” M. Pehler will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 24, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Mark McNea officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Friday.

Mrs. Pehler passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home in Rochester.

Jean was born July 22, 1916 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin to John and Bibianna (Ceirzan) Konkel. Jean married Henry Albert Pehler on October 18, 1939 and Henry passed away on November 24, 1959.

Jean worked for Mayo Clinic for 31 years, beginning her career in 1950 at the Worrall Hospital and ending at the Methodist Hospital when she retired in 1981. Jean loved playing bingo, cards, trips to treasure Island, fishing, and traveling.

Jean is survived by two sons, Albert (Susan) of Billings, Montana; Michael of Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Carol (Steven) Boynton of Lewiston, MN; and Susan Grant of Mantorville, MN;  ten grandchildren, Mark (Lori) Pehler of Billings, Montana; Melissa (Cliff) Dalley of Parker Colorado; Elisa (Ron) Bonsall of Moorhead, MN; Nathan Pehler, of Moorhead, MN; Jessica Nelson of Winona, MN; Jenny (Nick) Koverman of Lewiston, MN; Joni (Steven) Steiber of Santa Maria, CA; Joshua (Natalie) Boynton of Castle Rock, Colorado; Larissa (Christopher) Clifford of Wausau, WI; and Cara Grant(Kristopher Kruger) of Shakopee, MN. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Jenni, Sarah, Joshua, Olivia, Jasmine, Jaydon, Jay Thomas, Jackson, Nora, Emma, Lily, Griffin, Kennedy, Olivia, Anika, and Lucy Jean. She has two great great grandchildren, Liliana and Mehla. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, son Richard, son-in-law K. Joe Grant and her four brothers.
