Earl A. Passe

Earl August Passe, 83, of Rochester, MN passed away at his home of natural causes on March 13, 2015. Earl was born May 20, 1931 in Wabasha, MN to Charles and Leone Passe.
The family moved to Rochester where Earl was a successful wrestler and graduated from Rochester High School.

On April 17, 1952 Earl married Yvonne (Bonnie) Stillman at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

After Earl retired from Rochester Public Utilities he worked for Hunt Drugs, enjoyed spending time with his children, 11 grandchildren, 4 great children and many friends. Earl was a proud member of Knights of Columbus and an active member of his church.

Earl preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Bonnie, his son Steve and his brothers, Eugene and Paul.

Earl is survived by his children Margaret “Peggy” (Lynn) Franko of Rochester, Sharon (Ron) Scharf of Bloomington, Timothy (Jenifer) Passe of Rochester, and Michael (Theresa) Passe of Rochester; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral Mass which will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Francis is Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rochester. A light lunch to follow.

Wow, I just heard about Earl's passing.  I am shocked, and saddened.

He will be greatly missed, along with Bonnie, of course.

I had such a nice visit with them at their townhome when I was in town a few years ago.  Now I'm so glad that I took the time to have that visit, because you just never know what may happen.

My best to the family - you are in my prayers.

Earl was absolutely one of a kind...VERY kind...a wonderful person and a joy to work with.  We can be so glad he will be reunited with the love of his life in heaven.

I was honered to be of service to the Passes with their Medicare health plans. Please note that the government will automatically close his coverages through Medicare and the insurance companies with no additional action needed.

I am away from Rochester for an extended time so regret I am unable to attend visitation or the service.

Mike and Tim, Earl was a wonderful man.  I can still hear his support at our basketball games.  My thoughts and prayers for you and your families.

My grandpa was one of the sweetest, thoughtful, and self-less people that have ever lived. He will be greatly missed by our entire family. I am so thankful that my daughter Abby got to know her great-grandpa. We love you grandpa and know that you are happy with grandma and uncle Steve.
