Dorothy J. Krupp

Dorothy Jane Pax Krupp passed away peacefully July 13, 2016, at Cottagewood Senior Communities, Rochester, MN.

Dorothy was born April 27, 1930, to William and Alvera Pax in Celina, Ohio.  She attended St Louis University and became a physical therapist.  Dorothy married Dr. Neal Krupp and had eleven children; they later divorced.  Dorothy went back to school, attending Rochester Community College and Winona State, and became a certified counselor, a licensed psychologist, a registered holistic health practitioner, and a founder of the Women’s Resource Center at the Rochester YWCA, where she served as director, counselor, and program developer until 1985, giving comfort and guidance to area women and their families.  Dorothy valued family above all else and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.  After moving to La Mesa, CA, she traveled often to visit her children.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Jerry (Mary) Pax of New Orleans, LA; ten children, Dr. Mark (Rita) of Oceanside, CA, Karl (Purnima Madhivanan) of Palmetto Bay, FL, Ken of Minneapolis, Therese of Minneapolis, Jo of Denver, CO, Keith (Myrna) of Rochester, Elaine Krupp-Benson (Ellis Benson) of Zumbrota, Matt (Ken Kalina) of Minneapolis, Glenn (Stephanie) of Cheyenne, WY, Erik (Mary) of Estero, FL; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty (Pax) French, and one son, David.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held July 30, 2016, from 10:00AM-12:00PM in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester. There will be a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery at noon. Memorials may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Condolences

The family of Dorothy J. Krupp has received the following condolences.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Dorothy was a special friend.  We shared many childhood experiences which included:  Immaculate Conception Grade and High School, Dorothy's beautiful wedding (I was honored to be bride's maid), St. Louis University (shared apartment with Dorothy's sister Betty).

In later years, we shared a memorable week long Celina visit with families and friends.

Dorothy and her family are in my heart and prayers.

Thank you Matt for wonderful conversations, your special note and remarkable information.

Dearest Cousins,

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Many years have passed since I saw your Mom last but remember her fondly.  Her obituary makes her sound as beautiful inside as out.

My thoughts are will you!

Mary (Kay) Pierce

My most heartfelt condolences to you all. You are in my thoughts. Our families were brought together so many years ago and I recall Dorothy's kindness always. May she rest peacefully.

Love,

Caroline

Dear Keith and Myrna,  I am so sorry to hear of your Mom, Mother-in-law, Dorothy's death.  Thank you, Myrna, for calling me with the news of Dorothy's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.  May Dorothy's memory always be for a blessing.  Please let Kent and me know if there is anything we can do for you.  I emailed Rabbi Werner and let her know of Dorothy's passing, etc.  This is a very stressful time for you both.  Please take care of yourselves.  Susan
