Condolences
The family of Dorothy F. Hills has received the following condolences.
We always considered Dorothy to be a member of the Miller family and were so glad that she could be a part of so many Miller reunions at Uncle Dave Miller's cabin at Lake Alexander. In recent years we got to know Dorothy even better because of our frequent trips to the Mayo Clinic. She gave us our first tour in 1999 - when she was 80. She was hard to keep up with. Dorothy was a lot of fun and we had many laughs together over the years. She was always so generous about loaning her house and her apartment to patients going to the Mayo Clinic. She had more friends that anyone else we ever met. She loved a good time, clothes and eating out - especially at Michael's
We were fortunate to have seen her recently in Novemeber '12 at Shorewood where they took such good care of her. She had a sharp outfit on, her hair and her nails done. We sent a picture of her to all of the Miller cousins so they could see her. We will miss Dorothy so much. Rochester will never be the same without her.

Dorothy was a special member of the Miller family. The Sauls, Suzanne and Bill, John and Terri, remember her fondly as we spent our summers in Minnesota at the Miller cabin with Dorothy, forever entertaining us or cooking for us, along with my mother, Gertrude Miller Rush. We will miss her smile and laughter, but she will be fishing in the sky with Uncle Dave by her side. Catch a big one for us Dorothy.
Dear family,
Dorothy will always hold a special spot in my heart. I remember her as warm, vibrant and kind. I admired her enthusiasm and spunk for life. We send our deepest condolences to you. Heaven should be a livlier place now that Dorothy has arrived. God's peace to you. LeRae and Tom Schnickel
Dear Family,
Our deepest condolences. We are so sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. Now she is fishing and hunting with the Lord. Ever since I was a young boy, I always thought of Dorothy as one of the classiest ladies that I had ever known. She always had such a beautiful sparkle to her and she made you proud that she was part of the Hills Family. I hope in this time of sorrow, that everyone celebrates her life, because I know in my heart, that Dorothy believed she had one heck of a ride. Peace be with you. Larry and Kristine Hills Family.
Sorry to hear of Dorthy's death.
I know she had her faith in God and expect she was ready to meet her Lord!
I helped clean for Dorthy while in her house and at her Condo also. I remembe getting to her house on the morning of 911. I was hardly in the door and she's saying Darla get up here and see what's happening. We shared an historical event together.
She was so much fun to spend time with. So much wisdom and experience she would share.
I would ask her what time to come clean, she didn't always like getting up as early as I liked to clean, but we made it work by having coffee together and solving the worlds problems first then I would clean.
May God bless her family and friends that she talked about (always good). She loved you all alot.

My condolences to you.... Dorothy's obituary was a wonderful tribute to her. Anyone would know that her family loved her very much. I am happy that you made her life happy. I always enjoyed hearing Marla speak of her. She will be missed even by those of us who hadn't met her formally. Sincerely, Lois
Thoughts and prayers are with your family. Dorothy must have been a remarkable woman. May you find peace and comfort in your fond memories.
My sympathies to Dorothy's family. As a kid, I remember Dorothy as a good friend and neighbor of my grandmother, Alma Spooner (while living in a converted house on 4th Street SE ... no longer standing). She was so kind and helpful to her. something I recognized and appreciated even as a child. Thank you, Dorothy!
To all who had the joy in knowing Great Aunt Dorothy you know what an amazing and terrific person she was. She never missed a birthday, was always glad to see you, always had something to share, the list goes on. Above all, talking with her was the best. Such a neat lady! She loved each and every one of us and she was more than an Aunt to many of us.
Dorothy, we wish you peace love and joy as you reunite with Our Father and our loved ones passed before you. Thank you for all you were and the many memories! We are going to miss you so very much!!!
