Doug, I am so sad that Dotty passed away. I remember us talking about our wives and family over the many years we worked together and her passing just can't be reconciled in my mind. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through but you have my sincere and heart felt sympathy. She seemed to be the backbone of the family and Jo and I so much enjoyed hearing her talk about her family and the school children she cared so much, when we got together. You and her were the perfect couple and she was such a fun and witty person. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Brian and Jo
We are so shocked and saddened by the news of Dotty’s passing.
I have pictures of her at all of my elementary birthday parties, and will cherish them.
God Bless your family.

To Doug and family
So sorry to hear about Dotty's passing. From the time we were just kids playing at Grandma and Grandpa Bents' house, I can remember her smile and her warm and friendly personality. Although we have not seen much of her as years passed and our families have spread out and relocated, I followed her and Doug on their travels and activities over the past several years via Facebook. I always enjoyed seeing her postings and I will miss having that connection. My condolences to all of Doug's family and friends who had the privilege of having Dotty in their lives. She will be missed.

I taught with Dotty over 20 years at Churchill. "To teach is to touch a life forever." And Dotty certainly touched every first grader that passed through her door. She was a dedicated teacher who loved her students unconditionally. He smile and hearty laugh could be heard in the hallways and lounge, always bringing a light to every situation. What a kind and dear lady! She was taken from us way too soon. My deepest condolences to Doug, Grant, and Seth. I could tell from her Facebook postings of her grandkids that they were a true joy in her life. Rest in Peace, Dotty.
