Diana M. Giem

Diana Margaret Giem, 65, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

Born Diana Margaret Irish on April 18, 1950 in Rochester to Donald and Burnietta Irish of Chatfield, Minnesota.  She attended Chatfield High School.  She retired on April 17, 2015 after 36 years of employment at K-Mart.

Diane enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend.  She instilled the importance of love, compassion and forgiveness to every life she touched.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie (Rick) Stewart of Shakopee, MN; son, Jerry (Sara) Giem of Rochester; four granddaughters, Kayla, Katrina, Elise and Mika; one granddaughter on the way; four brothers, Dennis, Steven, Kevin and Donald Irish; and one sister, Rebecca Irish.  Diane was preceded in death by her father Donald Irish, her mother Burnietta Irish and her brother Daniel Irish.

The funeral service is at 11:00AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Chatfield Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Docken officiating.  Visitation is from 6:30-9:00PM Monday, October 12, 2015 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  Burial will be at Chatfield Cemetery with a luncheon following the funeral service.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all.  Remembering all the great times we had when we were all together.  Know I love you all. She can now dance with Jesus.  I wish I could be there but miles keeps us apart.  My heart is with you today

Di will be missed. I got to know her when I worked at kmart, she was a very nice person to work with and if you needed help she would help you out..                       You are in a better place now, you can watch over all of us and your family. You will truly be missed
