Dear Lehnherr Family,

We were so very sorry to hear about your Mother. Hearing about it reminded us of all the helpful things that your family did for us. When we were a young family, your parents helped us out it more ways than I can say. Your parents were very special people with hearts of gold. We will treasure them always. Prayers and wishes for God' comfort are being sent to all of you.

sincerely.

The Walt Timm Family

I worked with Jean for many years in the emergency room at Methodist Hospital.  She was a very kind wonderful lady whom we all loved and enjoyed working with.  Prayers and my deepest condolences to the family.?

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I worked for years with Jean when I floated to the Methodist Hospital emergency room. Many times she was the charge nurse and she always made me felt welcomed, checked in on me and assisted if I needed help with my patients. Such a lovely woman.  I was honored and enjoyed my many visits with her and my mother Leone Trygstad, up until you moved her closer to family and out of Rochester. She will be missed and remembered. Peace and strength to all of you. Sheri Trygstad Urban

I'm so sorry to learn of Jean's death. I met Jean and Jerry when they came to Tutwiler, MS to deliver truck loads of

clothes and other items to the Bargain Barn that was sponsored by the Tutwiler Clinic. Many times they were on

their way to visit Paul and family in GA. I remember they loved to stay at the Tunica Casinos and frequently win.

May you be comforted in your sorrow through the love and support of family, friends and parish community.

So sorry to hear about Derla. We were classmates. My sympathy. Love from Harriet.

Lehnherr girl's- It slipped my mind to wish you all Happy Mother's Day. To dear Jean, mom, and all mom's  in heaven, we love and pray for you. ?and? Jeanne (Trusty) Vehrenkamp

What a sad end to a long and full life. Our mother alway enjoyed her visits with Jean, they always seemed to be on the same page with whatever they were talking about. Even near the end, mom would talk about Jean and ask how she was doing.

We pray that you all fine comfort in the numerous memories you shared with her.

Wonderful memories of our down the street neighbors. Suzanne and I had many sleepovers and tent sleepovers in our back yards. Jean was so wonderful. She also made wonderful lunches for our many picnics. Many prayers sent to dear Jean's family. May you all remember the wonderful memories of your mom and dad. Dear Jean please give your friend and my mom and dad hugs and love. Jeanne (Trusty) Vehrenkamp

I am so very sorry for all the families. Derla always was so special in my life. I started genealogy many years ago One day this Derla Jean Lehnherr emailed me letting me know she is my mothers cousin in the Rumelhart side of our families. She was way ahead of me in the history for all our families. I have to say it had to be maybe three years or even more that we talked on the computer at least once a day. She visited me at my home in DeSmet, SD each time she drove through on her way to visit her brother Larry in Miller, SD.

Last time I was able see her and spend time with her when she surprised my husband Harold and I in DeSmet, SD for our 50th wedding anniversary June 2015.

Need to tell the story about Derla, my mom's aunt Treva from Huron, SD and my sister Ellen Vannoort, us four headed to North Dakota to a Rumelhart family reunion. Us old four ladies had more fun than we ever could have thought. We laughed like teenage girls it is definitely on my life's most fun list.

Thank you Derla Jean Lehnherr, you introduced me to a part of my family that I might have never known about if you had not emailed into my life. I am at this very moment thinking about when I read your first email I was so excited so happy you were not only a part of my life but a family member of my life. I do miss those days but I will always carry them in my heart. Love you Sandra Swaney, Sioux Falls, SD

The photos that were posted yesterday showed a person full of life and love.  Some of the photos could have been Katie dressed in clothes of the times.  Katie definitely got some of her beauty from your moms side of the family.  If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.  I’m thinking of you guys and sending love and hugs.  Love you.
