Dennis Allen Schmidt

Dennis Allen Schmidt, age 56, passed away on November 22, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester of natural causes.

Dennis was born on August 27, 1962 in Rochester to George and Eleanor Schmidt. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1980. Dennis worked alongside his father for the family business, Rochester Vending and Wholesale for over 40 years. Dennis loved being able to spend time with his daughter, Cassie. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and sitting around the campfire. Recently, Dennis worked for Fleet Farm, Pace Dairy, and Jennie-O Turkey.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra “Cassie”(Josh) Bedard of Phoenix, AZ; Cassie’s mother, Cathie Hicks of Phoenix, AZ; his father, George; and his brother, Jeff both of Rochester; and two grandchildren, Laila and Richie.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ellie and his brother, Jerry.

The memorial service for Dennis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dennis’s daughter, Cassie.
