Condolences
The family of Delores Ann Hammel has received the following condolences.
Dear Glenn,
So very sorry to hear of Dee’s passing. I haven’t seen you both since I retired from Radiation Oncology 2 years ago. Dee was always in a positive mood when checking in for her appointments. Even though I didn’t know Dee well I found she was so easy to talk to. You both were in my prayers and I thought of you both often. My sincere condolences!
My deepest sympathies to your family with the loss of Dee. She was a great positive person. We had many conversations at work that I really enjoyed! I hope you can find comfort knowing she positively touched so many lives with her laugh, smile and kindness.
So truly sorry for your loss. I loved her laugh. I can hear it as I am writing this. When a loved one becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure. "Wherever your treasure is there your heart will be as well " Luke 12:34
I'm a LPN at FMC and didn't work directly with Dee but I had talked to her a few times when I went over to the business office. Her smile was infectious and she had a great personality. Heaven gained another beautiful angel the day Dee passed away. My sympathy and prayers to Dee Hammel and family.
Many years ago Dee and I were confirmation mentors for two young people in our church. I so enjoyed our time together planning , teaching, and doing community visits. Of course there was much laughter and a sense of joy working with Dee! Throughout the years we had a standing joke about Dee’s cooking abilities. She always said she did her part by turning the oven on. That was cooking! I am so grateful to have known Dee!
Glenn and Family.
I am so sad to hear of Dee's passing. She was an awesome person. Due to our particular jobs, Dee and I spoke almost daily during our career's at FMC Rochester. We would have numerous inmate complains (largely unsubstantiated) we would work on togther. Occasionally, an inmates claim was credible. Even in those occasions Dee would make things right and sincerely appologize if that was the right thing to do. She was the ultimate proffessional in every occasion. We would also talk about our families and life outside work. She was a caring listener and a caring person. God again took someone too soon as I'm sure many will miss her infectious laughter, smile, and sense of humor for a very long time. I trust God has good plans for her in Heaven. Peace to you.

So sorry to hear of Dee's passing. I enjoyed working with her at FMC.
So sorry for your loss. Delores was so sweet in school and so much fun to be with. Prayers to you and your family.
I grew up on a farm near Delores and we were great friends in elementary and middle school. Lost track of her until meeting up again at FMC. Delores grew up with all those sisters and when I stayed overnight on a sleepover, she expressed her displeasure for living on the farm and getting workbooks instead of new shoes. She always had a great laugh though and will miss her dearly.
Dee’s passing makes me very sad. She was a wonderful person to work with and just be around. I am sure she is joking with the FMC staff that have gone before her and adding her beautiful smile to the angels watching over her.
Dear Glen Hammel and Family -
I just wanted to express my sadness in the passing of Dee. I worked with her at FMC Rochester until she retired. She had an infectious laugh and was always willing to help anyone in need. Every year on October 1st she would happily come into the Business Office at work and shout "Happy New Year" in celebration of the new fiscal year. Many times she had treat to celebrate. I have so many fond memories of Dee. I hope you know how much her FMC family cared for her. My deepest sympathies.

My heart goes out to you, Glenn, Cory, and all your family members. What a huge loss. Dee was one of the kindest, most vibrant, and fun person I’ve met. She always looked on the bright side, no matter what she was experiencing. I never even heard her complain about her struggles with health. Glenn, you were an awesome husband and I could see how you gave each other strength. You were so sweet together. Cory, Dee was blessed to have such a wonderful sister, and the other way around too. Gary, you seemed like a very fun brother-in-law. I love your humor. It has been a privilege to have had such fun times with all of you. I will so miss Dee and remember the good times. She’s an angel in heaven now, and I guess God wanted her back. My love and prayers to all of you. Hugs, too!

That smile on her face in the picture is her natural look. Always a bright and shining star.
