Dean married Patricia Cullen on July 6, 1963, and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Dean was fun loving and loved to laugh with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, listening to country music and helping out family and friends. He worked for Palmer Soderberg as a drywall finisher and worked on many commercial jobs in the Rochester area for 35 years. He was a member of the Local Union 681 and retired in 1999.

Dean is survived by his wife, Patricia; and his three children, Julie (Brian) Darcy of Mazeppa, Tim Arnold of Rochester and Sheri (Darryl) Thompson of Rochester; four grandchildren, Don and Sean Darcy and Sid and Autumn Thompson; eight brothers and sisters, Carolyn (Myron) Bicknese of Rochester, Rita (Larry) Newman of Rochester, Linda Kuster of St. Peter, Dave (Gail) Arnold of Stewartville, Gerry (Cathy) Arnold of Rochester, Rick (Nancy) Arnold of Chatfield, Mark( Pam) of Acworth, Ga., and Cindy (Ken) Moe of Rochester; and stepmother, June Arnold of Rochester.

My thoughts are with you all again today. When I was a child my favorite place to go was to see you guys :)  It was always a place full of love and laughter. My heart is heavy but know he will always be with you  in spirit. Sorry sorry for your loss. RIP UNCLE BUNK

To the family of Dean "Bunkie" Arnold  You have my sympathy.  Dean was a under classman at Chatfield High School.  Beverly Ayer McLaughlin Carmichael, California

Pat, Sherry, Tim, Julie - and Bunk's siblings - our hearts are sad and know that we will be thinking of you all. Uncle Bunk was my favorite - he always made time to come play with ALL my kids when we were home.  They remember him fondly.  I'll always remember his hugs, his laugh, and how he and his brothers would pick on each other, while the rest of us were in tears laughing.  And all those memories of our family trips up North to the cabin will stay with me forever.

From all of us in Texas, our thoughts and prayers are with you all...I wish we could be there, but know that you are all in our hearts.

Gone way to soon. We will miss uncle Dean. My deepest sympathies to Pat, the kids and grandkids.

Thinking of you all! RIP Uncle Bunk. Sending peaceful wishes from Colorado!

So many fond memories of my uncle Bunk and Pat as I grew up, from the stories, laughter and family vacations 'up north'.  I was truly blessed to have such a fun uncle in my life.  You will be missed by so many but always remembered. Love and condolences from Colorado!

I am so happy I got to know you Uncle Bunk while I was growing up. I love going to the get togethers and seeing you and Pat. I enjoyed the stories you all would tell, laughed so hard brought us to tears. Your loss will be felt forever and it won't be the same now. Thank you for all the memories and that last big bear hug you gave me and telling me how great it was to see me again. That is what I will remember forever. I love you!

Pat - you are in our thoughts and prayers.  Bunk was so special to us.  Every trip home we looked forward to spending time with you and Bunk.  He was loved and will be missed by all of the lives he touched.

Bunk did everything right.  He raised his family, loved his wife dearly, raised three children that are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and he was a great Grandfather.  I will miss that hearty laugh of his and listening to him and Dave talk and laugh on the phone for hours and hours at a time. Dave looked up to Bunk like a Father. He was always listening and giving Dave advice.  He will be missed everyday by MANY people.

I have fond memories of Dean as a high school classmate.   A nice guy and lots of fun to "be around".   My sympathy goes out to the family.    Jim Strande   "Chatfield class of 60"

Tim I am sorry to hear of your loss.  Your father was a good man and will be missed by many, he has touched so many lives including my own.

Hi Pat

My greatest sympathy to you on the loss of Bunk. I know it will be a great loss to you & your family. I am & will be thinking of you through this sad time.
