David M. Mulvihill
David Matthew Mulvihill, 91, of Rochester, died Monday November 3, 2014 at Saint Marys Hospital.
David was born at Saint Marys Hospital on September 18, 1923. David was the second of 11 children born to Cecil and Myrtle (Tvedt) Mulvihill. David married Margaret Anne Twohey on October 9, 1948. David and Margaret enjoyed square dancing, walking at the mall, camping and spending time with their many friends and family.
David is survived by his loving wife Margaret Anne, 5 children, Cathy (Peter) Lehman, Jeanne Baker (Jeff Seidel), Tom (Kathy) Mulvihill, Carol (Al) Van Dyke, Richard (Debbie) Mulvihill; 8 grandchildren, Chad Stromberg, Jill (David) Sherburne, Brandon (Christina) Baker, Nicole Lehman, Michael Mulvihill, Matthew Mulvihill, Ashley Mulvihill, Courtney Van Dyke, and 4 great grandchildren, Ella Sherburne, Olivia Sherburne, Avalyn Stromberg and Deegan Baker. He is also survived by sisters Eileen Kubista, Mary Kester, and Joan (Norm) Hoeft; brothers Carl (Alice) Mulvihill, Fran (Darlene) Mulvihill, and brother-in-law Don Lyman. David was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Jean, Kate, and Doris, his brothers James and Gerald, brothers-in-law Charles Kubista, Gene Schuchard, and Harvey Kester.
A Memorial Mass for David will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Church of the Resurrection, 1600 11th Avenue SE, Rochester, MN with Father Paul Nelson officiating.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one half hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
