Darwin “Dar” Halverson

Darwin “Dar” Neil Halverson, 72 of Rochester, passed away peacefully following a short battle with cancer on May 3, 2021 at Rochester Health Services West.

He served active duty in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in November of 1969. On January 31, 1972, he married Inez Winslow in Cheyenne, WY. Together, the couple made Rochester their home. Dar worked for Pepsi and Minnesota Loan before working as General Manager of Kuehn Motors for over 43 years. He was a smart businessman who was well known to many. He loved fishing, elk hunting, camping and golfing.

He is survived by his wife Inez of Rochester, his children Nicki Halverson of Bozeman, MT, Brett (Anna) Halverson of Mt. Horeb, WI; grandchildren Willow Rose and Lucy; two brothers Daryl of Indianapolis, Donald of Houston, TX and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Duane, and his sister Delayne.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin, Dar. My thoughts and prayers go out to the  family.

So sorry. Wish I had better words.  All my thoughts are with you.

Inez,

We are so sad to hear of Dar's passing. We could not have asked for better neighbors than the two of you while living in Heritage Hills. Dar was so very good to our kids and I always enjoyed our conversations. There's no doubt he is in heaven catching lots of big fish and hitting numerous hole in ones.

Kelly, Tracy,  Maddie and Grant Lee

Inez,

Sincerely,

Mary Ellen Simis
