Darrell Dean Fleischman

A celebration of life service for family and friends of Darrell Dean Fleischman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 10, 2013 at River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Darrell Fleischman, 63 years young, of Rochester passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him at Seasons Hospice in Rochester on Tuesday July 30, 2013 of pancreatic cancer.

Darrell was born February 8, 1950 in Mankato, Minnesota to Robert and Cecil (Foote) Fleischman. Darrell married the love of his life, Mary Kroenke, September 27, 1975 in St. Clair, Minnesota. He worked for Crenlo in Rochester for 38 years until he was forced to give up his career due to his illness. In Darrell’s spare time he enjoyed building model classic cars, carpentry, family adventures (including family vacations to Duluth, MN), and watching TV (especially forensic science shows).  Also, Darrell was a cheeseburger connoisseur.

Darrell was extremely loving and very proud of his family. Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and his three beautiful and successful daughters, Sarah (Mike) Montgomery of Eagan, MN.,  Abbie (Ian) Pannkuk of Duluth, MN.,  and, Teresa Fleischman (Fiancé Conner Reed) of Rochester, MN. Darrell is also survived by his brother Donald Fleischman of Nisswa, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Darlene.

A special thank you to Seasons Hospice in Rochester for their loving care and support.  Also thank you to Macken Funeral Home for all the arrangements

Mary, Teresa, Sarah and Abbie,

We are so sorry to hear that Darrell has passed away, it's such a sad and painful time for all of you. It helps to know he is at peace and not suffering any longer, but it leaves such a emptiness in your hearts. Prayers for all you that your healing begins soon.

Paul and I won't be able to come to Darrell's funeral this weekend, but we will keep you all in our prayers. Darrell was such a nice guy and he was a good husband and father, he loved you all and you will always have that. Tea, hugs and kisses to you sweetie. We love you.

God's blessings, Renee and Paul.

Sarah,

My prayers and love go out to you and your family.  Your Dad was such a wonderful guy.  I absolutely loved spending time with him and your family in college, your house was like my second home.  His love for you guys was immense, it was never hard to see how much he adored his 4 beautiful ladies!

There are no words that anyone can say that will make any of this any easier.  It will hurt every day - but when it does hurt, think about the love that your family shares, all of the wonderful times that you have had together and how lucky you are to have that angel with you now.

BIG HUGE GIGANTIC HUGS!!!!!!!

Love you!!!

We are so sorry for your loss. We remember seeing and talking to Darrell and Mary many times at the numerous Lourdes band functions that he always attended. He was always a gentle man, and did seem so proud of his family. He was exactly what a loving dad and husband should be. Your family has our sympathy.
