Cy and Ardis and family were neighbors of my family in Rochester from the mid-sixties for many years. Cy was always happy and full of life and helped my parents with snow and grass mowing as they got older. I do remember he liked bowling on Friday nights. Cy called me when he saw the ambulance drive up my parents driveway in 2001 when my Mom fell and broke her hip and Brian then stayed overnight with my Dad who had dementia until I could get down.
I have thought of Cy and Ardis and Joyce, Cheryl, Colleen, Susie, Carrie, Brian & Shawn many times throughout the years. Cy called me when he saw the ambulance drive up my parents driveway in 2001 when my Mom fell and broke her hip and Brian then stayed overnight with my Dad who had dementia.
I live in Minneapolis and my Mom's only remaining sister in Rochester called to tell me Cy had died. I wish I could get down to see everyone but I just cannot make it.
My condolences to everyone.
