Cynthia Marie Majewski
Cynthia Marie Majewski, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born in Minneapolis, MN on November 14, 1950, to Dean and Mava (Jenkins) Kirkpatrick, Cindy spent her early years in Minnesota before graduating high school in Chicago. She went on to earn her nursing degree from SUNY University in Buffalo, NY, and later completed her master’s in nursing at the University of Minnesota.
Cindy dedicated more than 30 years of her life to nursing, serving with compassion and skill at the Mayo Clinic, where she spent the final 10 years in the cardiac unit. After retirement, her commitment to care continued through her work in home health care, bringing comfort and support to many.
Outside of her profession, Cindy was a woman of many passions. An accomplished quilter, she attended quilting conferences and also received awards at various contests for her craftsmanship. She loved to travel. Her favorite destination was the Christmas markets of Germany. She traveled throughout South America, Eastern Europe, and across the United States. She was always eager to explore new cultures and landscapes.
She enjoyed spending time at her home in Longville, MN, on the shores of Little Boy Lake. She loved camping, specifically near the Boundary Waters. Her favorite place to visit in Minnesota was Split Rock Lighthouse. She was an avid kayaker, often cleaning up as she went, adopting the waterway as her own.
Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, gentle nature, and resilience. She had a quick wit, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for animals that was shown through her commitment to a pescatarian lifestyle for over 40 years.
She was first married to Robert Kridler Tullis III in 1971; they later divorced. In 1994, she married Gary Majewski, who preceded her in death in May 2023.
Cindy is survived by her children: Robert “Rob” (Becky) Tullis IV, Rhendy Tullis, and Randall (Robyn) Tullis; and stepchildren: Dawn (Chuck) Finley, Joe Majewski, Tanya (Daniel) Majewski-Meek, and James Majewski. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Mandy (Andy), Logan, Ethan, Gabe (Madi), Emily (Ryan), and Jude; seven great-grandchildren: Willow, Gavin, Finleigh, Rhyan, Phoenix, Wednesday, and Memphis; her brother, Brian (Davi Ann) Kirkpatrick; sister, Jody Rocca; and seven step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Mava and by her husband, Gary.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12th St. SE, Rochester. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
