Your mom and dad made us so welcome the time we visited in Rochester at their invitation. I was probably about ten. They were a kind, fun-loving and cordial couple. We enjoyed times at your cabin on Otter Tail Lake as well. We thought it neat that through Clarice Thompson your family was like extended family to us. Shirt-tail relatives is the term that was used then I believe.

Cora and mom exchanged Christmas cards for so many years. I bet it was upwards of seventy years of being in touch each year at the holidays. Cora always wrote a note or had family news and not just a signature. When I was at the folks at Christmas I enjoyed reading the Christmas mail. It was wonderful to see the enduring friendships with so many like with your folks. I also remember that your parents took a vacation to Europe and how much Portugal was enjoyed. I've associated your mom and dad with Portugal ever since.

The  Westerhaug girls were special. Clarice and Wally visited us often. They were like family. They were special cousins to mom. Cora and Les, my folks and the Thompsons were a special group of folks. Blessed be the memory of Cora Schiller. My gratitude to all these couples for teaching us about what matters most in life.

I will cherish the memories of your Mom and Dad going with my folks to dance at the Turp. What wonderful friends they were.  Special memories of your Cora helping me and Mom with my wedding veil. She was so gifted. I still remember her telling me before I walked down the aisle "this is your day, now enjoy it" ! Thinking of you.

Cora was a very sweet person. She always made us feel special. We will all miss her sweet smile and the kiss we recieve when we saw her. I send her a kiss from all of us to a very special woman. You will forever be in our hearts. Sorry we could not be there with you in this time but know you are in our heart and prayers.
