Colin B. Casella
Colin Bryce Casella, son of Keith and Bernice Casella and brother to Kirsten Casella, passed away in his home Monday, June 10th 2013. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Colin moved to Rochester in 2002 where he graduated from John Marshall Senior High School and completed his first year at RCTC.
Colin had no limit to the things that interested him.
He loved music. He played a variety of instruments and sang, and even performed in shows with his own band.
He loved art. He was a talented sculptor and kept a sketchbook on him most times, and wrote his own poetry and songs. His lyric writing was exceptional.
He loved to be active. Skateboarding, snowboarding and skiing, hiking and camping, soccer and baseball, karate, and walking his three dogs were only some of his pastimes.
He loved to travel. He accompanied his friends on ski trips in Colorado, Boy Scout trips in Philmont, New Mexico, and accompanied his family to a variety of places including Mexico and Europe.
Colin was always making others laugh. He had a great capacity to help others. He was a friend to many.
Colin was a loving son and brother.
He is survived by Keith Casella, his father, who loved him; Bernice Casella, his mother, who was always there for him; and Kirsten Casella, his sister, who always thought of him.
For all the things that Colin was, he will always be loved, and he will always be missed.

I am so very sorry. When I heard this terrible news I couldnt believe it. I'm still having trouble. I knew Colin back in middle school. We spent nearly every day together. Words cannot express the impact he had on my life, and I know many others feel the same. Colins such a beautiful person, inside and out. Hes filled with so much confidence and passion. He desired to make everyone else happy. And god, could he bring a smile to your face. So generous and just a down right good person. I am honored to have gotten to know him and I hold the memories I shared with him close to my heart, as everyone should. He didn't have to go so soon...but may he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his friends and anyone who had the opportunity to know him.
I am so sorry and sad for your loss. Please accept my condolences, sympathy, and love, with any assistance I can provide.
I only met Colin on a couple of occasions, but I do know that you would smile when you talked about him.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Dear Casella Family,
We send our deepest sympathy at this time of loss in your family. Although we did not personally meet Colin he always smiled and waved when passing the house in his comings and goings. No one can even begin to imagine the sadness you all must be feeling right now. Please if there is anything we can do to help, mow the lawn, take care of the dogs, bring over a meal, just let us know. We would be glad to help in any way we can. Our thoughts and prayers will continue for you and your family in your time of need.
Sincerely,

Remember Me
Remember me with smiles and laughter,
For that's the way I'll remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
