Clarence “Lyle” Dyreson

Clarence “Lyle” Dyreson, 87, of Rochester MN died Tuesday January 19, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Clarence was born on April 24, 1933 in Amherst township, Fillmore Co. MN. to Clarence Leonard and Lela G. (Anderson) Dyreson.

Lyle was raised on the family farm south of Lanesboro until he joined the US Army in 1955 and became a Lineman. Returning home from Korea, he installed Cable TV in Rochester and LaCrosse. There he met his wife of 57 years, Bernadette “Bernie” Ashland. They married in 1963 and lived in Minneapolis and Richfield until 1975. At that time, they bought a home East of Rochester where they have lived for 45 years. Lyle retired from construction work. After which he repaired small engines at his home. Lyle and Bernie also collected antiques. He and Bernie sold at Antique Shows and Flea Markets around SE MN. Bernie maintains a booth at the Old Rooster Antique Mall in downtown Rochester.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Dornink, and brother Roger Dyreson of Preston. He is survived by brothers David ”Jon” (Lois Tweeten) Dyreson of Winona, Kenny Dyreson of Junction City, Kansas and sister Deanna Hahn of Rochester. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. There is no memorial planned at this time.
