Carol J. Post

Carol Jane Post, 67, of Rochester, formerly of Stewartville, died Saturday, Oct. 27 at Golden Living Center East.

Carol was born July 9, 1945 in Osage Iowa to Needham and Joyce (Womack) Weatherly. She graduated from Riceville High School in 1963. On August 8, 1980 she married Harvey Post of Zumbrota. They later divorced.

Carol worked for Waters Instruments from 1963-1980. Upon moving to Stewartville she worked at the Stewartville Care Center and Comfort Home Health Care as a nursing assistant.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Guy Whipple and their children, Maurria, Rachel and Olivia.  She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Linda Weatherly and Pamela Born.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31 at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Private burial at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear about Carol.  I used to work with her at Comfort Home.  She was a very nice person and will be missed.

Celebrating Carol's life and rejoicing in the knowledge that her spirit is dancing and singing in heaven with her parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  We will miss Carol's smile and laugh as she reminisced about fond memories as a child and youth.
