Carol Ann Reed
Carol Ann Reed died April 5th, 2015, at her home in Rochester.
Carol was born at St. Marys Hospital on Nov. 24, 1945, the daughter of Bill and Helen (Finn) Raatz. She graduated from Lourdes High School in 1963. In 1965 she was married and later divorced. She worked at Mayo Clinic for 38 years and retired in 2001.
On November 21, 1981 she married Larry Reed, and they made their home in Eyota until May 1990 when they moved to the Mississippi River near Wabasha. They both had a love for fishing and boating and enjoyed 22 years living with a pontoon or boat tied up at their dock. Carol also enjoyed reading, crocheting and trips to Lake of the Woods to ice fish. She also enjoyed time spent with family and friends and watching the activities of her grand children and great grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her daughter Susan (Carl) Newberg, of Rochester; and her step-sons Dale, of Rochester, Todd (Dawn), of Grand Meadow, Kurt (Cyndi), of Kasson; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Sandra Hanson of TX, Suzie (Tim) Burton of AZ, Diana (Franz) Satler, and Michelle Hatch, both of MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 3 p.m. in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with Pastor Tony Deach of Christ Community Church of Rochester officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

God bless you and your family. We enjoyed the gathering of the cousins and extended family for several summers in Rochester. Duane sent us an e-mail and we did not see it until today (Thursday evening). Dad and Mom (Roy and Shirley) enjoyed their visits with Carol.
