Condolences

The family of Carmen C. Rathke has received the following condolences.

Ron - So sorry to hear of your loss.......Hope this finds you at peace - Carmen always held a special place in my heart - as she never batted an eye(at least to me :) ) for having to share an office with a young kid at IBM. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ron and Family:

We just heard about Carmen over the weekend. We are so sorry for your loss and you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Carmen was such a kind wonderful person and she spoke highly of her one true love in Ron.

I was blessed to work w/ Carmen at Western Digital and Pemstar and she remained a good friend. She will be missed!

John & Jodi Bulman

Ron, So sorry to hear of Carmen's passing away. She was a great gal.  Gordon and Marylou

Ron & family,

I was very concerned about Carmen's condition from her last e-mail. I had sent a follow up note and had not heard back. Jane decided to check the internet for your phone number and I was planning on calling tonight but the obituary notice was on this web site.

So, sorry for your loss. When I hired Carmen at Waters Instruments, I regarded her as a very detailed professional and passonate on "doing the right thing"! I not only considered her a co-worker, active member of NAPM - Southern Minnesota but  a true friend. She always encouraged me during my many job changes and I valued her opinions.

My thoughts will be with the Rathke family during these difficult times. She did make a difference in many of her friends lives including mine.

Condolences, Chuck & Jane Bracken

Ron,

We are so sorry to hear of Carmen's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and as you face tomorrow.  Hopefully your memories will sustain you and your family through these difficult times.  Stay in touch.

Yours, Ruth, JIm & Adrienne

Ronnie and family,   I'm so sorry that I won't be able to come to the funeral today for Carmen.   I really wanted to come and see you and your family.   Carmen and I worked at International Transport many years ago and your brother Stan was my boss..............Greet Stan from me if you would please.     Carmen has kept in touch with my by email for many years but also Christmas cards, pictures and in the recent 5 to 6 years we email often.   I was so sorry to hear the news.   I have went thru this journey with her in her email updates on her condition and also your health issues.   You both have surely had your share of health issues.   Ronnie---take care of yourself.....have fun with those grandchildren.......they are the best things in life to ease health problems or whatever life hands us.   Carmen was a very nice friend to me over the years, great smile and always caring about others.   Her Lord Jesus Christ called her home now so she doesn't have to suffer anymore.  Peace be with you tell we meet again.  As ever, Karen Kautz--Millville, MN.

I am going to miss you my dear friend. I am going to miss your smile, you love of life and just your awesome attitude. We had so many good times and will always remember you as the person who loved life to the fullest.

Jess and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss, the loss of your beautiful mom. Love you Jess

Dear family of Carmen Rathke - you do not know me.  I worked under Carmen at IBM in the IBM Cafeteria.  She was a hard worker and knew what she was doing.  I was shocked to see that she had passed away.  I assume that she had cancer from the way it sounds.  I was her secretary in the Cafeteria where she was 1 of 3 managers.  Funny thing, I had gone to the IBM Picnic and saw Chuck Perry and Wife and he was 1 of the other managers and had asked about her but he hadnt seen Carmen I guess lately.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Keep the good memories of Carmen in your heart!!

My condolences to Carmen's family during this difficult time. Carmen can now be at peace.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Rathke family; Ron, Jessica, Jeff, and Craig....

I don't know what to say other than Carmen was an amazing person.  I am proud to have known her for my whole lifetime.  I loved meeting up with her at the Olive Garden every time I would come to MN for a visit.  I know that I am going to miss her a lot!  Without her, I probably would not be here.  Love and hugs to all of you in this difficult time.

Craig, thoughts ands prayers are with your family and you at this difficult time.

To Carmen's Family:

I am terribly sorry for your loss.

Jessica

My thoughts are with your family during this time of loss. I am very sorry for you.

Carmen was a great co-worker and friend.  She will be forever missed.

To Carmen's family,  Carmen and I have been good friends for 35 years when our boys were little and played together.  We've had dinner every month.  She helped me make an important decision 33 years ago, cementing our forever friendship.  She washed all our clothes after the flood of 78, we've shared our family stories as our kids are close in age to each other.  I have an empty spot in my heart knowing I will never share another meal, another story, another laugh.  Carmen believed in God, and I know she is with him now.  Peace to the family, she loved you all so very deeply.  Judy and Mike, Sid, Scott and Joy

To all the Rathkes: We lived next door for 7 years and remained friends over the past 33 years. Carmen was the ultimate entertainer when it came to preparing a 7 course dinner and it was always exciting being invited to eat at her home. Over the years, we have remained in touch and when Charlie had his two major surgeries in Rochester, she always found time to visit him each day. I treasure our friendship and am glad to know that Carmen's suffering has ended and she is in a better place. We will all miss her.  Love from the Kirbys:   Charlie, Joanne and Thomas

Jess and family, Im saddened to hear about you loss of someone so special to you. I cant say i know how it feels or what things will help, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you in this hard time in your life. If you need someone to talk to, you don't have to look far! God Bless
