Bryant was born on December 2, 1936 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Edward Haley and Johnnie Raye (Williams) Kershaw. He graduated from Idabel High School, and afterwards attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was in ROTC program while in college. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Airforce. Ultimately, he retired as a Flight Navigator in the Airforce at the rank of Lt. Colonel. For the majority of his adult life, Bryant lived in Dallas, Texas. He worked jobs at various places including Dresser Industries, Wharton School of Business, and American Airlines. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lee Brent on January 24, 2002. The couple made Rochester their home. Bryant was a longtime member and volunteer at Autumn Ridge Church of Rochester. He was a member of the local Kiwanis Club, was an avid golfer, and especially enjoyed trap shooting locally.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lee of Rochester; his children, Jeffrey (Susan) Kershaw of Frisco, TX., and Daniel “Brett” (Barbara) Kershaw of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Carson Boyd and Sarah Katheryn; step-daughter, Susan Fredrickson of Rochester; and step-grandchildren, Cole (Kelsey) Fredrickson, Hannah (Juan) Navarro, Hayden Fredrickson, and Savannah Brent.

Condolences

The family of Bryant Kershaw has received the following condolences.

I will miss Bryant for many reasons, his sense of humor, his smile, and certainly being a good listener.  He leaves behind a wonderful family, and Betty you are also a dear friend.  I have had the privilege of meeting Susan, Hannah, Cole, ad Brett.  Bryant and Brett are natives of Dallas as is my daughter, Dana.  My faith has been strengthened by sharing Autumn Ridge Church after he invited me to attend.  We have been golfing buddies when his health was good, and we even had some side bets to be a little competitive.  He always supported my KIWANIS projects.  So Bryant was all a good friend could be..  Thank You!
