Condolences

The family of Bobbie B. Darnell has received the following condolences.

I will always remember my trips to Rochester with Margo.  "Roy" (as I called him) always had that smile on his face and a wonderful sense of humor.  I always told Margo to "squeeze his cheeks" for me!  He and Lorraine always made me feel welcome, like I had known them all my life.  He will be missed greatly, not only by his family but by others who had the privilege of knowing him.  May he rest in peace.

it was always the little things that made me smile the biggest. fishing with him, the coin in the pay phone, the way he said "a tall" instead of at all, the way he couldn't say cinnamon or aluminum and the "harumpf" when you told him something funny about himself. i will miss him and his little things so much.

Dad, I will miss scratching your shoulders when you had an itch and the crinkles in the corner of your eyes when you smiled or laughed. You taught me to be truthful, work hard and enjoy life. I will miss you, Love you,

Bob did what we all profess to do but rarely happens. He answered his country's call in WWII, came home, with his wife Marguerite raised a family, and was a outstanding family man/citizen. We should all follow his example. Bob, you will be missed by all who had opportunity to know you. May you rest in peace.

Grandpa Bob, go easy on the sparring practice with God. He hasn't boxed in a while. :)

Sorry for the loss if your father Mark. I remember some of the stories you told me about him, he sounded like an interesting man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I used to talk to your Dad nearly every am during our bus driving days.  More recently I would see him at our morning walks at the mall.
