Bette A. Mart

The Memorial Service for Bette Ann Mart will be on Monday, October, 19, 2009 at 11:00AM at Macken Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lester Horntvedt officiating.

Mrs. Mart, 62, of Rochester, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at her home, following a courageous battle with C.O.P.D and emphysema.  She was born on April 4, 1947 in Pender Nebraska.  On October 10th, 1694 she married Michael Lee Mart at Lewiston Minnesota.

Mrs. Mart lived in Rochester for 40 years, prior to that, she lived in St. Charles.

She was co-owner of Mart’s Painting and Decorating, and worked at Circus World Bingo.  She was a housekeeper at St. Marys Hospital, and for Nancy Brataas and Dave Bishop. She also worked for Happy Dan’s Market. Bette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed card playing, bingo and fishing.

Survivors include, her spouse; two daughters; Jane (Scott) Clough of Rochester, Kelly (Todd) Anderson of Winona and one son; Lee Mart of Rochester; seven grandchildren; Kimberly, Kristine and Katee Clough, of Rochester, Ashley and Chad Mart of Rochester, Blake and Devin Anderson of Winona.  She is also survived by three sisters; Judy Wiskow of Rochester, Peggy Embrey of Rochester and Connie (LeRoy) Wheeler of Minden Iowa; two brothers; Allan and Don Jorgensen, both of Denver Colorado.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Wilma and Art Jorgensen, a daughter Michelle and a brother, Larry Jorgensen.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at Macken Funeral Home on Monday, October 19, 2009.
